I don't think batsmen have anything to be "saved" for a Test match. It is more the bowlers.

This is the best thing that could happen to Rohit.His international career is now in his hands,he can either see it as a challenge and have another great ranji season and get back in the test squad or be content with the IPL.

He can be kicked out of 20-20 but deserves his chances in Test Matches.

They should just give him a run in Tests and see how he goes. Unlikely to throw away his wicket in a Test match. Pujara and Kohli seem like future 3 & 4 for now. 5 & 6 still very much up for grabs. Of course the two in my AVI will take these. :--D

Got a Grade B contract....Good signs that selectors have not given up on him yet...I still maintain that the guy needs to be given a test cap.....He is probably the best player of Pace and Bounce among current players.....maybe Subcontinet pitches are not his forte like some of the overseas players :dontknow: No Trolling.....needs to be given one shot at test cricket...if he chokes.....focus here on the word 'choke' because there is no lack of skill here.....he should be dropped for good. I am not trying to be one of those wannabe blind supporters....We have invested way too much in Project Rohit to abandon it at this point based on some meaningless ODIs and T20

Rohit can be very valuable for us, especially when the team is in a flux, he has the talent and game to play good bowling and will score runs in all conditions,players have their favourite formats, Rohit averages 60 in longer format, same way Rahane is also a test player first,Rohit, Pujara, Murali,Virat, Saha to me can be very good test players.

Should've played in place of Droparthiv in between. Rahane just came into mix of things late(in 2011) still don't think he missed any game because of Rohit. Tiwary might have missed a few, but not more than 3-4 if any. PS : Rohit shouldn't play ODIs anytime soon.

Rohit went averaging 100+ in last 2 series he played before Australia. He deserved every chance he got in Australia and Asia cup. Rahane is an opening batsman, don't think they would ever play him in the middle order.

Well, agree to that Rahane part but his (Rohit) performance was below par in the Tri series. Should have been dropped before it was too late. But I don't see why he shouldn't get a shot in Aus while Jadeja was playing all the games.

Correct me if I am wrong, Raina played only that one game at Hobbart. Even he looked poor in the Tri Series.
