sage Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 How does the link show that? Just lists highest number of wickets
Pagalpanti Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Kudos to him. Hopefully he keeps this up, after all the faith team management and selectors have shown on him despite the inconsistencies, about time he starts delivering. This series he truly played like a leader of the attack. He'll be tested severely next series though vs SA. Although his record is much better in India than away.
sage Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 The fastest Indian to 200 wickets is our boi bhaji btw, in 46 matches.
philcric Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Well done Ishant. Happy for him. Haven't checked the stats, but from memory he's bowled decently well in the test matches in the last 12 to 18 months.
Vijy Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 @Sage: Ashwin will overtake that tosser soon enough.
adi B Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Guess the bowler with the best strike rate in the history of indian cricket :giggle:

Vijy Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Zak took 116 innings and Ishant 114. Yes, their records are a bit similar... but Zak's avg is still 2 lesser. The real question is whether Pisshy will be able to lift his game to the next level like Zaheer.
CG Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Yes' date=' their records are a bit similar... but Zak's avg is still 2 lesser. The real question is whether Pisshy will be able to lift his game to the next level like Zaheer.[/quote'] Ishant has moe potential than zaheer. He is just 26 his best years are ahead. He has all the natural gifts that a fast bowler can ask for just need to continue this action and not try anything he will have that average around 30 in few years.
BeautifulGame Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 How old was Zak when he got 200th wkt?
sage Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 He was 31 when he got his 250th wicket. I don't know about 200th

Losing 6.5 points is not easy... even if he avgs in mid-20s over many years, it will take a while to get to 30.
