adi B Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 How old was Zak when he got 200th wkt? 30th year
Vijy Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 30th year Zaheer's peak seems to have arrived a bit later than others.
SLICKR392 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Ishant has moe potential than zaheer. He is just 26 his best years are ahead. He has all the natural gifts that a fast bowler can ask for just need to continue this action and not try anything he will have that average around 30 in few years. Zaheer used his brains. Something that Ishant lacks.
CG Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Losing 6.5 points is not easy... even if he avgs in mid-20s over many years' date=' it will take a while to get to 30.[/quote'] He took 1 run of his average with this ten wicket haul.Zak had a similar average even more he got it down in couple of years
Vijy Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 He took 1 run of his average with this ten wicket haul.Zak had a similar average even more he got it down in couple of years When did he get a 10 wkt haul..? But yes, was surprising to see his avg drop that much.
CG Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Zaheer used his brains. Something that Ishant lacks. Yes hopefully he starts using them.Long time man good to see u.
CG Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 When did he get a 10 wkt haul? 8 wicket haul sorry.I think in wi he get 1 ten wicket haul which reduced his average by 1 point.
Vijy Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 8 wicket haul sorry.I think in wi he get 1 ten wicket haul which reduced his average by 1 point. Well, you are right... it did make his avg drop by 1 :omg: Just needs to do it for 10 more games straight now... :--D
Raghav_12 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 He would end up being second best pacer after Kapil Dev. Bhagwan ke ghar der hai, andher nahin.
SLICKR392 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Yes hopefully he starts using them.Long time man good to see u. He's physically far better than Zaheer and better pace too. Been busy. :)
Vijy Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 He's physically far better than Zaheer and better pace too. Been busy. :) Better height as well.
SLICKR392 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Better height as well. That's included in the 'physical' part. :winky:
maniac Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 When did he get a 10 wkt haul? Lords test :--D
rkt.india Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 He will be taken apart by SA batsmen on Indian pitches.
maniac Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 He will be taken apart by SA batsmen on Indian pitches. Not really.....He bowled well against Aussies at home and I am sure,he will against S.A as well unless they come up with Pattas....and on Pattas likes of Devillers and Anla will take apart anyone....infact I am more concerned about likes of Yadav and Aaron bowling to S.A batsman who are used to that pace.......for some reason I think Shami will be the best bet though to bowl along with Ishant for his reverse swing ability.
BeautifulGame Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 He's physically far better than Zaheer and better pace too. Been busy. :) Went to check those wayanad videos personally ? :cantstop:
MCcricket Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 I see Ishant turning over a new leaf under Kohli, Dhoni was a cancer for our test team n especially bowlers, everything mostly he did hurt his own bowlers.Ishant is 26 only is fit n bowling with good rhythm n pace, also kudos to bowling g coach n staff, if Shami comesback and is bowling well we will win more series n tests, India or abroad under Kohli
India-KXIP fan Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 http://stats.espncricinfo.com/india/engine/records/bowling/most_wickets_career.html?class=1;id=6;type=team :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hysterical: Anyone else notice Bishan Bedi Strike rate? :omg:

I can't remember Ishant reversing the ball since that 2010 series though . But Ishant did a very good job of striking to good line and length and keeping it tight when Aussies attacked in the Aus tour earlier this year .If he could something similar against the likes of Amla and De Villiers even if conditions are flat be would done a great job
