The call was received by the police control room around 4.15pm, and the caller, claiming to be from a fringe right-wing group, told the police that beef was being served at Kerala House," New Delhi deputy commissioner of Police Jatin Narwal told IANS.

It is good that a Delhi police team raided Kerala house to inspect if cow meat was being served. The Sickular Commies at kerala house are claiming it was buffalo meat but Delhi police should not take their word at face value.

The meat should be thoroughly inspected at a forensic lab to determine it's origin . Random stool samples can also be collected and sent for inspection to verify if cow meat was being consumed surreptitiously .

I am sure this upcoming writer is trying to return an award even before it's been awarded!

Chetana Thirthalli, writes in Kannada mostly about feminism and about Dalits as most communism inspired young liberal writers. She is mostly Anti-Hindu, satires about Sanskrit verses in puranas talk about alcohol consumption by female gods (Parvati etc.), so no need to chant verses praising gods. She also participated in a Beef promotion event in Town-Hall Bangalore. She will soon be in the news getting a Sahitya Academy award from Siddappa's govt in Karnataka.

If you are a writer and write Anti-Hindu  - media calls you a rationalist

If you are writer and write Anti-minority - media calls you communal

Apparently it against Hindu custom to cut hair on Tuesdays , :facepalm:and a riot was triggered because a barber flouted this rule :

A Muslim barber refused to shut shop “as per custom”, triggering a riot by indignant members of the Hindu community at Nelliyadi village, 70 km from Mangalore, in Karnataka on Tuesday

Bajrang Dal leader Ravi Ballya told HT that the trouble started when the barber, Salman, refused to “respect local sentiments” and keep his shop shut on Tuesdays. It is well-known that Hindus don’t cut their hair on Tuesdays. Salman was initially a nice boy. He used to respect our wishes and close his shop then.

Thukrappa Shetty, the local Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader, had a similar story to tell. “Uday Kumar, the leader of the barbers’ association, went to Salman’s shop and politely asked him to shut shop.

Obviously , the MSM is to blame for reporting such incidents and not ignoring them like they do with innumerable cases of crime and brutal oppression against the weakest members of Indian society.

Meanwhile, the situation continued to be tense in at least four villages near Nelliyadi – Kokkada, Patrame, Golithottu and Ballya. The police have so far arrested nine men from both communities, and imposed curfew in the area.

200 plus Congi Libtard scientists from places like IISc, TIFR etc. also become jokers like Rushdie.

Though I am against BEEF Politics , I am also dead against these dramebaaz returning awards.80s and 90s were far more bad than present situation.After 84 Sikhs from various parts of India started leaving for Punjab while Hindu's out of fear started leaving Punjab. This is what you call very tense communal situation.Nayantara Sehgal got award in 1986 from Govt which has Bhagat , Tytler , Sajjjan kumar as ministers . If an awardee accepted award from Nazi's and later returned it in protest of Vietnam war what will you call him?

Very little coverage in MSM on the statement of protest issued by top scientists

"Over 100 distinguished scientists from some of India’s top institutes issued a statement on Wednesday denouncing the “climate of intolerance” and “a rash of bigoted acts”.

Who are these "rabid" , "anti-BJP"  (according to FM ), sickular scientists ?

Wednesday’s statement was signed by some of the top names of Indian science including :

  • P Balram, former director of Indian Institute of Science;
  • Ashoke Sen of the Harish-Chandra Research Institute, Allahabad;
  • A Gopalakrishnan, former chairman of Atomic Energy Regulatory Board;
  • P M Bhargava, former director of the Hyderabad-based Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology;
  • B Ravindran of the Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar;
  • Partha Pratim Majumdar of the National Institute of Biomedical Genomics in Kalyani;
  • and Satyajit Rath of the National Institute of Immunology in Delhi.

At least five of them are Padma awardees.

Among those who signed the statement were scientists from the Indian Institute of Science, Indian Statistical Institute, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Raman Research Institute, National Institute of Advanced Studies, Indian Institute of Astrophysics, IIT, Mumbai, JNU, Tata Institute of Social Sciences and several other institutes. The statement was also put online for other scientists to lend their name and weight.

No scientist is bigger than Lallo, RG and AK. Hypocrites. These guys burnt 3000 people during 84, all these shameless people never stood up then? Never denounced anything but were rushing to get awards from Congress regime and now here they are taking higher ground?

:hatsoff:

If you want to indulge in this argument of whatabouttery or as I like to call it Deewar logic, then why did they not return awards or protest during Babri Masjid or more pertinently Gujarat 2002?

The reasons are to introspect and not deduce by playing the whatabouttery game. As far as number of people killed in riots, it is obviously not a good metric. All other instances were largely localized, except for the Babri Masjid fiasco in which there was immediate action taken by dismissing BJP ruled governments and banning organizations like VHP.

It is lazy and trivial to equate these leading scientists, historians, and artists to Congis and call this a politically manufactured protest.

How about analyzing things a bit more to understand why they are protesting now? The intolerance is no longer some local law and order issue. It has permeated most states. It is again lazy to lay the blame on individual state governments, like it would be foolish to say Gandhi was killed due to a state government than the Hindutva ideology.

It is no longer a question of the fringe. The PM is openly campaigning on communal divisions for a state election. This is the real existence of the RSS. They are an evil an vile organization and have spread their poison far and deep enough so the Indian society is on the path to becoming a Hindu Pakistan.

Recall the mid 70s to 80s when Pakistan became its transition to the mess it is today. It wasn't accompanied by massive riots but by gradual poisoning of the society like RSS is doing today through instruments like love jihaad, Ghar waapsi, and beef (something which should never have been an issue because cow beef is already banned in majority of states and Muslims don't really crave for it). The only reason this is being made an issue is to establish Hindu dominance. These are things localized riots from 30 years ago will not put into perspective, but I am glad The thinkers and drivers of the country can see through all this whatabouttery and Deewar logic.

I've been privileged to have been associated with some of them during my career. I've always respected them for shunning jobs in western countries to target their academic goals in India and still come up with international level research. Their accomplishments are recognized by the international scientific community. That the current government calls them rabid is a reflection of their own intellectual bankruptcy. Knowing guys like Dadhich, Sen, and Sahni in that list they won't give a feck.

EDIT: I wanted to tag amiret's post above for context, but not sure how to do it. Read the above as a rejoinder to it.
