Rohit is great but he takes little time to settles in and not someone who can hit from ball 1. The world cup will be in India with flat pitches, no swing, seam or bounce. I think Sehwag can do a good job as an opener and give us an explosive start in first 5 overs. I think it will not be a bad idea to bring him back for this tournament and also should be his farewell series.

nevada Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 No, too late for that. 8 years ago we won the T20 world cup with the elders sitting out and new players getting their chances to play. It is time to do the same. Try the next gen players with a rookie as captain.

We don't need to keep bringing them back. Did we not learn anything from the last T20 WC defeat which was because of playing a player who had passed his sell by date. sandeep Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Since we are missing a couple of big-hitting bats in the middle order, let's bring in an opener who never set it alight in T20s anyway. Forget old/new etc, Team India needs #5/6 bats who can score at 150+ strike rate - a younger Yusuf would be great. I don't know if the original still has enough hand eye co-ordination to be effective. Someone call Robin Uthappa and tell him to bat #5 in the next IPL ;)
Wasim9211 Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 patel could hit 28 in his 4 overs no update for yuvi in any format plus he is not same, one bad over in 20/20 can ruins game plan,MSD always give bowling to ishant sharma in the 2nd.spell during ODI,even he hits 48 in his first 5.ishant always gave lots of runs in his 2nd spell in any format,i am glad he left out for Mohali test vs southafrica inNovember 2015.
