he did twice in the same test but everyone does that early on in his innings on a helpful track. Ball came back a lot after pitching and error in judgement can happen.

Rahul is a very good opener.......but rohit is in form of his life and india should make use of his form....

He will be best at no.5......so all the players has to shuffle

Hopefully Dhawan can be "released" from the Indian squad so that he can go play domestic cricket. His game has gone down...& it seems that at International level...he cant fix his flaws.

Dhawan is turning into a later version of Gambhir. Too much poking outside off stump and fundamental flaws in technique have crept in.

Averaged 20 on the Eng tour and 27 in Australia.  He needs to be dropped and play domestic cricket to get back some form.

If a slot opens up because Dhawan is dropped ( he should be ) then Kohli will surely take Rohit. Open with Vijay and Pujara, Rahane at no.3 and Rohit at 5. 

Choosing Rahul over Rohit is unlikely to happen happen in  sub-continent test matches as Kohli is in charge.

I am ok with it too.  

I would like Pujara in the test side in all test matches and the ability and practice to open will make him more select-able in the era of 5 specialist batsmen.

there probably pitch was the issue. But in this series he is going to face a much superior bowling attack.
