Adi_91 Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 How can you berate someone without even giving him a chance? Can anyone imagine Greame Smith or Michael Clarkle talking about one of his players like this? Saying we dont have a spinner so wont play him when touring India. Rishi has played in top for 6 for his team and scored runs, recently scored a 100 in VH trophy. He might not be successful at the international level, but how it is fair from Dhoni to have a go at him without even playing. Sometimes, he says we need to pick medium pacers for ODIs, not he is saying "he is not someone who is very quick." Are chahte kya ho Dhoni Sahab aap. (Read it in Manoj Vajpayee's voice )Why select a team with selectors? Better for Dhoni to hand pick his 11/12 players himself and play them every game.
New guy Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 So according to some people, we have to be absolutely certain a new player is an all time ATG before he an be in the playing XI. Till then Dhoni can play his cronies every game even if they don't deliver or they are not suited for the pitches
New guy Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 (edited) b) is just wishful thinking on your part. And let's not anoint cuptaan kool-hair as the savior just yet. He who benched Ashwin for the Adelaide test for rookie Karn Sharma. Actually the benching Ashwin part makes me trust Kohli more because it is a bold move. A bold move which backfires is still better than the same defensive tried and tested move. Someone who does not hesitate to bench even the best bowler because he feels someone else can be more suited is exactly the need of the hour. We have seen Dhoni's tried tested formula fail for some time now. I see the same energy level in the team under Kohli which I saw in the under under Dhoni in 2007 Edited January 16, 2016 by New guy Bigg Brother and Mosher 2
rkt.india Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 Anyone remembers Faulkner for pre-RR era. He wasnt much of a batsman then, at least not what he is now. He started as a bowler who could bat. I too thought he does not look like an alrounder, but then he played that season for RR in 2013 and played a cameo for them in one match coming in late and that changed him as a batsman. That did a world of good to his confidence. He has been a different player with the bat since then. There is nothing more important than confidence for a player whether it is his self-confidence or his captain's confidence on him. Here is our captain who is so full of negativity whenever he speaks up that how can a team be positive under him. His personal decline as a batsman is showing in his captaincy and his words. vishalvirsingh 1
Lannister Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 What's sickening to hear is we have to wait till after the completion of world T20 to get rid of this old fart. It just makes my blood boil that we have to sacrifice the whole tournament just to feed his ego. Adi_91 and Bigg Brother 2
India-KXIP fan Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I admit I was wrong. 4-1 was not good for MCG match. Dhawan never looked like getting a wicket. Ashwin 1 or 2 wickets would have won the game.
vishalvirsingh Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 rishi dhawan gave 33 runs in his 6 overs...he did not fare that badly though.
