I am very impressed with the steep bounce that Pandya is getting. He is hurrying the batsmen, making them hop and jump and bowling good speeds of 135 k to 140 k.

His accuracy has become decent and he is getting some outswing at times.

Pandya has a good bouncer. I had noticed this in Ranji trophy too. His fuller length needs to get better.

He said lot of good things about nehra and bumrah and esp bumrah......he said if bumrah can get the ball away from right hand batsman.....he will become an Intl class bowler.....

But when it came to hardik, he gave a wry smile and said .....this kid is very very raw......he has to put lots of efforts when it comes to fast bowling ..... he is going thru honeymoon period where he is getting some wickets

Pandya isnt a specialist bowler anyway. He is playing as a 5th bowler.

Totally agree rkt.....but i was hopeful and excited that we have a genuinue allrounder at hand......but looks like he has lot of way to go before he can be one

Good thing is that he plays with lot of zeal and spirit because of which he is successful ..... hopefully this attitude will help him to retain his spot in the team....meanwhile he can learn and improve his bowling...

Hope he doesn't go jadeja's way where he improved very little skill-wise

Hardik Pandya has the raw materials.... Good pace, zip off the deck,  steep bounce, mental aggression, good height, outswinger. He needs to learn bowling a good-length, off-stump delivery as his stock ball. Now he is bowling 4 or 5 types of deliveries every over...and if that is improved upon, he will look much better.

As Rkt said, he is not a specialist bowler but a batting-all-rounder and is not expected to be as skilled as them.

Pandya bowling is very raw ,but he is doing the main thing... taking wickets.

Pakistani bowlers were skilful,experienced, but none other than Amir was able to take wickets.

Pandya, yesterday bowled economically & took wickets. He bowl with good speed & lots of aggression.

A very valid point. Pandya returned with the best bowling figures among both teams yesterday. 3 wickets for 8 off 3 and a 1/2 overs.

And...all his 3 wickets were bowler's wickets...an outswinger which took the outside edge, a bouncer which forced the batsman to top edge and a bowled.

I have always noticed that international level wicket-takers, whether top pacers or spinners, usually have the ability to get zip or bounce or both off the pitch...and Pandya has this quality.   He will always produce wicket-taking deliveries as long as he has this ability.

Why can't we have pavan negi in place of useless overrated ashwin who relies on pitch for success as we have seen in Australia and in yesterdays match

Pavan can smoke the ball as hard as it get pandya and negi could be our power hitters pavan also different bowler then jaddu and un like assswin a very good field er

He is the main bowler for India and go-to man in critical conditions

jadeja is very accurate, never underestimate accuracy also he is mentally strong ,reads the batsman and understands his bowling so can come back if batsmen hit him.

Thats what i meant.....i never underestimate his contribution to Indian cricket but i thought he should have improved leaps and bounds from last few years.....but he is more or less still the same ....."relies on accurate line and length"....

spin bowling is more than that.......to start with

1) lot of revolutions on the bowl

2) beat the batsmen in air

3) drift and spin
