Where are the turners?

pitch changed a lot in favor of spin in the second innings.  People might say it's not a test match that the pitch will change after 20 overs.  Actually, it can and has happened in many t20s/ IPL.  While conditions were more difficult, India should have played better.

Who the phack allow important matches in chewt venue like nagpur, why a top test centre like delhi has been neglected,I mean delhi has been a fortress for India, it atleast deserve 1 India game isn't it.

NZ looked at the pitch, probably said this is something we are not used to playing on but we will do the best from the resources available to us and play an 11 that gave NZ the best chance on this surface

BCCI chief Manohar is from Nagpur... (Even I'm too). But I'm pretty angry at the venue "Bandarbaat" between Manohar & Thakur..

DDCA always has some sort of problem going on all the time be it player selection, ground clearance, etc.  Dilli should build a brand new stadium.  The current one looks out of place for India's capital

Even Hyderabad has a decent stadium. All the 4 metros should have got games. Even Chennai missed out badly. Just one men's game there.

Exactly, I mean what is use of world cup when, the capital of the country is unable to host a game of the home team.

Even the final was reserved for Mumbai only to be changed to Kolkata later. Why not other cities for the final?

Only you wanted such a track, not many of us. It was substandard pitch for T20 cricket. Team batting 2nd was always going to find it tough to score.

I would want a similar track for Aussie game too. IMO I would prefer to take on Aussies with the likes of Finch, Warner, Smith, Maxwell and Faulkner on a turning track than a flat one. Yes we failed to chase 120 odd against kiwis but if you were asked before the game if you can have the target of 120 odd on a turning track, would you have refused? i wouldn't have.

As i said earlier, it was poor execution, not planning just like we faltered against England in Test series in 2012 where the Eng spinners outbowled ours'. At the end of the day there's no guarantee of a win given any track, it's all about giving you the best chance to win and I believe turning tracks give us the best chance to do so against the non-subcontinental sides.

They just failed to read the pitch properly. Have you guys forgotten how we bundled England to a sub 100 score in Sri Lanka on a turning pitch ? We can play good on turning pitch, just need good execution from batsmen. It was early tournament laziness of our players, but it could prove costly now. I expect making them strong comeback in upcoming games. On flat patta wickets we will struggle because of less potent bowling attack, but on supporting wickets we will do good. Just need to play proper cricket and select XI according to wicket. Yesterday wicket demanded 3 spinners.

It seems u do not follow cricket nowadays. Turning tracks are lottery in shorter formats in longer format still there is chance to comeback. But here toss plays a more important role. We beat aus on flat tracks in aus. Its good we will not such tracks in eden gardens.

Not as much as I used to but enough to know that we should be able to beat non-subcontinental teams on turners more often than not. I still maintain the NZ game was an aberration and we should go the same way against Aussies.

What Manohar can do when DDCA is indulged in court battles. They had to reallocate even t20 match from delhi to Ranchi at the last time.

We dont need such extreme turners. Even typical Indian pitches will do like Mohali 2011, ahmedabad 2011 wc. Such people pitches become lottery. Maxwell will become Murli here.

I kept shouting from first.. This Team is way too dependent on Virat Virat :whack::whack::banghead:

people thought i was crazy now they are getting exposed..

I wonder if they give 75% of there match fee to Virat since he does all the work :banghead:

Very true.

We lost the match when he got out. There was hope when he and MSD were trying to control the innings.

:(( I wish virat was there for few more overs yaar atleast NRR wouldn't have been that bad.. 100 would have atleast

But its also tough asking same guy to perform  again and again.. Did rest of them come on holiday!!!

Raina hasn't done anything in last AC CUP , SL and he is totally out of form until he finds a FT.. Nohit ll atleast score once every 3 matches:cantstop:

Nohit came down the track lazily and was out in the most horrible manner in that innings.
