Adi_91 Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 (edited) Rain could play spoilsport for the all important Group 2 clash between Aus and NZ on Friday.http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=11606967Wonder what this means for the points table and India's fortunes. Had India Pakistan still played in Dharamsala, the game would have been washed out almost certainly as more rain is predicted on Saturday. So, we will have a game on Saturday, thanks to PCB. Adi_91 Posted March 16, 2016 Author Posted March 16, 2016 That is why its always important to win the first match that will help to build up confidence going forward. Now we are at the mercy of other teams and weather gods.Actually not, if the rain does spoil it, then they share points and India can actually hope to finish first in the table should some more results go our way.Anyway, tomorrow evening will reveal it all. Fingers crossed, it benefits us.
zen Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 This is how it would be if the games get rained off: NZ 1.5 wins + games vs. BD and PakPak 1 win + games vs Ind, Aus and NZ (all tough games) Aus 0.5 wins + games vs BD, Pak and IndInd 0 wins + games vs BD, Pak and Aus BD 0 wins + games vs Ind, NZ and Aus (all tough games) Now assuming that: NZ beats BD but loses to PakInd and Aus both beat Pak and BDInd beats Aus below is what would happen:Ind = 3 winsNZ = 2.5 winsAus = 2.5 winsPak = 2 winsBD = 0 winsInd will top the group, Aus and NZ would fight for the 2nd place .... If NZ wins all its remaining games, it will top the group, and the winner of Ind and Aus will take the 2nd spot G_B_, Adi_91 and Rasgulla 3
Ultimate_Game Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Let's win our games first before worrying about others. If we lose one more, we are out.

Adi_91 Posted March 16, 2016 Author Posted March 16, 2016 Actually, PCB's diplomatic victory to force India to take in their demand could well turn out to be a blessing in disguise as we will get a chance to play all games.

Adi_91 Posted March 17, 2016 Author Posted March 17, 2016 (edited) We are praying for rain!!! Forcast says chances of showers that doesn't mean anything from 8 o'clock it says partly cloudy so there will be a match i m afraidActually, going by those forecasts, it seems there may be flooding rains. And during the Qualifying games, it said partly cloudy and it was pouring down there, so they are not always correct. But again, can't rely on rain as it is not dependable. Its all left for time to decide. Big match that on Friday nonetheless Edited March 17, 2016 by Adi_91
MK55 Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Due to our run rate, I dont see us qualifying with just 2 wins. So we have to win our remaining games. Considering this, it would benefit us if aus vs NZ match is washed out. This is because, we dont have to worry about australia as long as we beat them. So one less team to worry about. Now as Bangladesh have also lost one already, we dont have to worry wbout them too as long as we beat them. Now its all about NZ, India and Pak. If Pak wins against NZ, we qualify if we win our remaining matches. If NZ beats pak, then too, we qualify. So a wash out is ideal for us as long as it doesnt affect our match. It will guarantee our place in Semis if we win the rest.

Austin 3:!6 Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Just win the 3 damn games without bothering about other teams.I mean the chewtiapa of curators cant be described in words. All the games till now including women matches been played on great batting wickets. Only we have been served with 5th day test match spin dustbowl wicket. Why? Who took that decision. But but hey we cannot complain either. Else Pak and Bang bros will mock us saying ICC = BCCI.Makes me sick.Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
MK55 Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Any idea about the forecast for other matches not involving India? Since 2 teams qualify from a group of just 5, any wash out of other teams would help us.
