Ultimate_Game Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 I say let the groundsman and curators at Mohali start preparing a spin friendly surface already. On a flattish surface their lineup is too long and powerful to be contained. In fact if B'desh spinners had bowled well and fielded decently, they could've had Aus in serious trouble. Stuge, Rasgulla and tweaker 3
Stuge Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 They couldn't flight the ball like they should.BD spinners were too short at times and paid the price .Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk adi B 1
Singh bling Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Don't worry Dhoni will give Pandya full 4 overs ,Maxwell can feast on him asterix, tweaker, adi B and 1 other 4
Ultimate_Game Posted March 21, 2016 Author Posted March 21, 2016 Don't worry Dhoni will give Pandya full 4 overs ,Maxwell can feast on him Bigger concern is getting a spin friendly surface instead of flattish wkts which are the norm at Mohali.
Lala Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 before think about aussie game you guys should concentrate to beat BAN with higher NRR Iconoclast 1
zen Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 It appears as if Aus and NZ don't have to worry much at Mohali at least vs Pak ^ above picture posted by @Ankit_sharma03 Most of the grass will likely be shaved off before the match

In fact shaving the grass will make the pitch a patta and I'm scared of this Aussie lineup (which bats till 10) on a patta

The base assumption is that India will be able to beat B'desh and so far there's nothing we've seen which leads us to believe otherwise. The Aussie team is a different matter altogether as we need a turner to get the better of them. They bat till 10 and will murder us on a non-turner.

I think we should wait for Ind to go past BD .... If we do, we will probably gain some momentum
Iconoclast Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Hope the Mohali curator makes a green pitch for Pak match. We got 4 pacers who hit 90MPH .. no other team in the tournament does.

Iconoclast Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 But your batsmen who are not as good as NZ's would have to face a dangerous pace bowling attack as well Low scoring game would favor us ... NZ have too many gun batsmen and would score big on a flat track
zen Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 (edited) Low scoring game would favor us ... NZ have too many gun batsmen and would score big on a flat trackLow scores does not necessarily mean easy game .... on the other hand, high scores do not mean a harder game .... difficulty is associated with conditions and opposition Pak lost its games to Ind (AC and WT20) and BD (AC) on surfaces that were relatively difficult to bat on (low scoring games) .... while it beat SL (AC) and BD (WT20) on surfaces that were relatively easier to bat on Except Amir, I would not rate your pace attack high esp against teams that are used to playing in such conditions Edited March 21, 2016 by rett Utalk 1
zen Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Pitch and conditions The World T20 pitches have kept everyone on sharp notice. The one in Mohali was barely distinguishable from the outfield on match eve, although that may just be to keep the pitch from crumbling as a result of the prevalent hot and dry weather. So very little fear of rain, and very little fear of dew as well. "Mohali is probably more like New Zealand conditions than perhaps Nagpur and Dharamsala," Hesson said.^ From cricinfo

Iconoclast Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Yeah. Wahab, Sami etc bowled really well in the Asia Cup on a green top.Sami took out two in two on a square turner ... Amir's been excellent and Wahab and Irfan have enough quality to get it done on a proper fast pitch.I hope they don't shave that grass ... their have been enough flat and spin pitches this tournament.
