Ultimate_Game Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 That was quite a game and probably one of the best T20 games ever. B'desh and B'desh fans may feel gutted, which is quite natural and understandable, but the good news is that they have started showing progress. They are a much more consistent team and can't be taken lightly. They have a good btting lineup, decent pacers and more than handy spinners. Fielding may require a bit of work but overall they have shown clear signs of progress in shorter formats over the last year. The next step for them would be to show similar kind of progress in Tests and start winning away from home. The best piece of news is that most of B'desh players are youngsters and the newbie players are pretty good (e.g., Mustafizur). A stronger B'desh team augurs well for cricketing world as you always want to have higher number of competitive teams rather than see the same old 6-8 teams for years. adi B 1
zen Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 (edited) Well BD's perspective could be that other Asian teams need improvement and Ind was just lucky to win today Irrespective of the ranking, does BD think it is not a good side?If not this is like telling someone who thinks that he is already good that you are no longer bad Edited March 24, 2016 by rett
cowboysfan Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 are you kidding OP? they had this game IN THE BAG.Hardik bowled two terrible balls and any other team would have smashed it into stratosphere or atleast got 2 sensible singles.Bangladesh have shown consistently that they are a mentally deficient team and forever be minnows who wont get invited to play anywhere.
Adi_91 Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 To me, Bangladesh are quickly developing into a decent side. A good side at home for sure. But proving to be decent even outside home. Good signs for them.
sandeep Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 They did well, but a top team would have cruised a 146 run chase in about 18 overs... They just let us steal this one..
Ultimate_Game Posted March 24, 2016 Author Posted March 24, 2016 are you kidding OP? they had this game IN THE BAG.Hardik bowled two terrible balls and any other team would have smashed it into stratosphere or atleast got 2 sensible singles.Bangladesh have shown consistently that they are a mentally deficient team and forever be minnows who wont get invited to play anywhere. You are being too harsh. The very fact they are pushing India close on a regular basis means they are progressing.
maniac Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Bangladesh is a good LOI team-ODI and T20 in SC conditions now.......but in tests worse than Zimbabwe and till they work on that will not be taken seriously.Bangladesh right now is not even as good as Srilanka in the late 80's early 90's.Srilanka used to win some tests at home and be competitive in ODI's even before their turnaround in 95-96.Apart from Mustafizur and to some extent Tamim,I don't see a test quality player in their line up....Shakib is a LOI player too.
jf1gp_1 Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 You are being too harsh. The very fact they are pushing India close on a regular basis means they are progressing. They played there best we were possibly at our worst. At on point I felt even Indian team wants BD to win YET they lost. Pandya bowled 2 full toss to set batsman and both got out. No doubt they are a much improved side but still there team and fans will always have a loser mentality.
AmitMan Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 No I disagree here, they have already shown great progress since the last WC. Beating India yesterday would have shown further progress and another great achievement. Instead they lost the game in most unbelievable fashion. This team lost a great opportunity to have shown growth yesterday, their fans must be devastated.
randomGuy Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 No shame really losing to this Bangladesh side.
CoverDrive Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Yes well done! This team has come up very well. Also they are more like SL team that plays consistent cricket. They do not have flashy players but all round triers. If not for their fans would support them a lot more. This is like the Zimbabwe team of late 90s who used to regularly challenge top teams. Mashrafe is their best captain and some of their players like shabbir and mahamudallah are quite good. Mahamudallah played very sensibly till the end and even then the full toss was there to be hit. Hardly any useless players. Can see them only get better.
