It is lovely to watch Pant and Samson bat with so much maturity against a bowling attack full of Internationals. This kind of innings would definitely give them tremendous confidence. When they play for India, they wont find themselves in unfamiliar territory as they have already played the very same bowlers in front of massive crowds. 

 

The kind of disdain shown by Pant against Mustafizur was just amazing

Yeah great to see the youngsters perform well. Hope MI and DD play Nathu and Khaleel for a couple of games.

The main utility of the IPL , as far as I am concerned, is preparing Indian  youngsters for the pressure of top level cricket and giving them confidence that they can succeed against the best.

 

Today was a good demonstration of that by Pant and Samson.

Totally agree. This is why the IPL is admired and respected around the world, and everyone wants to emulate it. It's fantastic to see young players given a chance to prove themselves and improve their game against quality international players, not the have-beens and have-never-beens that turn up for county sides, Sanga for Surrey and Williamson for Yorkshire aside
