If you were the BCCI who would be your coaching staff?

Here is my choice

Team Coach- Tom Moody-proven Coach at the international level and also an international player back in his day -mediocre player but had a better career than a lot of other coaches going around.

Batting Coach- Pravin Amre-Another proven Coach who helped quiet a few international Indian batsmen-Technically sound player in his time.

Bowling Coach- Heath Streak-Another proven coach and also had a very succesful international career as a player.

Fielding Coach-Some  proven Aussie or South African coach- This is not a stereotype as the minute level focus these teams give to fielding are well documented-There are quiet a few who do great work at junior and domestic levels in these countries and hence these countries produce top level fielders- Who the Fk is Abhay Sharma and what are his credentials?

Assistant Coach- Zaheer Khan....does not have coaching credentials but in his time known to be a very good bowling captain who helped his fellow bowlers, has the respect of team mates and could be groomed for bigger things...As an international had a very succesful career too.

Not that BCCI doesn't have the money to afford staff like this....If I as a fan can see that there are wonderful options out there-really disgusting that BCCI and legendary ex-players have given up to personal preferences and choices :wall:

More than anything I want the captain/coach to have the burning desire and a strategy or two to make the team a good touring side. India can to a large extent win on auto pilot at home. Doesn't really need a great captain or coach or strategy to win at home.

I'm happy with Virat as captain and Kumble as the head coach. They give me the confidence that at the very least they'd have away tours as the top priority and give it the thought and the planning that is required. Which can't be said of the previous captain/coach.

I'm positive that, to win an away test match, we would at least try to chase 86 runs off 15 overs with 7 wkts in hand, and not offer an easy draw to the opposition. I'm happy that I won't have to hear gems like "Doesn't matter how you die. You die, you die." and "We lost the test in 3 days. That gives us 2 more extra days for shopping".

Captain - Virat Kohli

Head Coach - Anil Kumble (Rahul Dravid would have been great too)

Bowling Coach - Zaheer Khan

Batting Coach - Amre / Mahela

Fielding/Fitness Coach - Definitely a foreigner

Dude, Shane Warne would be a disaster as a coach. He doesn't have the temperament and the patience to work behind the scenes for long periods of time, which is a requirement for a national coach.

If you follow his commentary, his social media and his other media activities, you'd realise that he's a petty man, set in his own ways and holds grudges, none of those traits are suitable for a coach.
