Shai Hope, the West Indies opening batsman, has been left out of the squad to face India in the four-match Test series. The 22-year-old Barbadian was a notable absentee, alongside veteran wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin, in the 12-member squad announced by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) on Monday (July 11).

Hope scored a breezy century playing for the West Indies Board President XI against the visiting Indian side in a two-day warm-up game in St. Kitts but was ignored in favour of Leon Johnson, the 28-year-old Guyanese batsman, who was rewarded for his consistent showing in the WICB Professional Cricket League Regional four-day tournament.

I know less than 50% of this team.. Where's the regular fast bowling unit? Rampaul, Roach, Taylor, Edwards..

 

Who's the Wk btw? I know they booted out Ramdin.

Roach has been dropped and Jerome has retired. Pretty inexperienced bowling attack.

fast bowlers are Gabriel, Brathwaite and Holder. Only Gabriel is someone who can create troubles.

Actually they can all Odi specialist to come in , atleast they have potential to change to game at any time.

Shanon gabriel. The only bowler with pace. Rest are 2 trundlers in brathwaite and holder.

I believe this guy is going to give our batsmen a hard time. A far better bowler than Brathwaite and Holder.
