Abde as a keeper and Kohli as a captain doesnt make sense.

Frankly speaking,Kohli should be replaced with Williamson & Cook being captain.

Not many experienced captains in the current team. 

 

Cook's captaincy record is very average.  He is also looked upon as a very defensive captain.

 

It is a toss-up between Kohli and Smith.   Smith's loss in SL has put him at a disadvantage as of today, may change later on.

Yeah,he made a debut in 2000..Should have chosen in current XI.

No Steve Waugh in the 90's team? His double century in the series win against the WI is one of the best innings of the 90's. And Ponting in the 90's X1? I would pick Dravid instead of him. Also, I would pick Waqar instead of Murali. I think one spinner is enough in a team with devastating bowlers like the 2 Ws and the metronomic MCGrath and Ambrose.

Murali was destroyed by sidhu in 90s. thats when he developed doosra. If opp have murali n warne give me sidhu

Also under kohli we havent been outplayed in any test, the only 2 test we have lost under him is in few session. We played well in those tests to. 3 test that has been draw have all been rain affected or else all would hve been won.

 

Also i beilev an ALL time teams filled with great players doesnt need great captain specially strategically. Someone who can lead from front and fight when chips are down . Someone who other players can respect. As far as strategy goes , with all good bowlers around you dont need to do much and other quality player doesnt need much of pushing. 

Captaincy comes to play when team is not that strong.

Sidhu was a destroyer of spin.He also thrashed Warne in that famous '98 series where Tendulkar destroyed him enough to give nightmares.

Yup in an recent interview warne did saw he feared bowling to sidhu instead he would enjoy bowling to dravid but not to sidhu.
