gakgupta Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 GUYzzz. Most of you guyz think that i am hyping but after seeing today's performance, i think Nathu Singh is really special. This guy is all condition guy ( I mean he can be successful in SA, NZ, AUS, Eng and sub-continent as well). Well, he is no way closer to finish product. He has so much to learn. Even, this half cooked talent is good enough to debut for INDIA. Mr Kohli -- Give him some opportunities in next 1.5 years (In the home conditions). He can be your strike bowler in away conditions....
express bowling Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 (edited) I have been saying this all along after seeing Nathu Singh bowl in a couple of matches on BCCI TV. -- Nathu is already showing an ability to set up batsmen and is trying to bowl to a plan. He is going for wickets objectively and not bowling mechanically or without passion. -- He has pace -- Bowls inswingers consistently. ...and it is late swing. -- Has an accurate, inswinging and quick yorker and bowls it at will. -- Bowls a good bouncer. -- Tries to bowl channel deliveries consistently to top batsmen. -- Has an athletic run-up, accelerates at the end, has a steady head while bowling and bends his back a lot. Uses a wrist-snap too. --He is still a work-in-progress though and needs more and more overs and matches under his belt. Edited August 24, 2016 by express bowling Mosher 1

tweaker Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 very impressed by NathuSingh. He gives the impression that he is always thinking of taking wickets. If he bowls well & has a 10 wicket haul in this match, selectors will have pitchfork him ahead of Dhawal,Unadkat etc. As he has played very little domestic cricket, but he has shown that he has a thinking brain & will only improve under watchful eyes of Dravid & Kumble. My only worry about him is his fitness & expect him to remain fit, as he had some fitness issues during the Irani trophy. express bowling and Mosher 2
tweaker Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 When he was not selected in A team for Australlia I was worried that selectors have put more faith in line & length ,experienced bowlers. But he has grabbed the oppurtunity by taking 6 wicket haul in the Duleep Trophy. He has been able to bowl against many batsman who have played for India & some are in contention in playing in future. He also has bowled well against Jadhav,Mandeep, etc who are in.A team in Australia express bowling 1

The Duleep Trophy games are being telecasted live and getting a lot of attention due to the day/night FC games and using the pink ball. Any performances here would get more attention. tweaker 1

MCcricket Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Ankit Rajpoot has quite a few things going for him, he has played enough domestic but still young, has been associated with MRF for so stone now, has good action with high release combined with his height, has good pace n is natural unlike some one like Since so he won't drop much in longer format, has loose limbs n hits the deck with seam in position, def test material few A tours should be in squad in a year. Nathu should be played right away as he can be used as a surprise weapon, has the ability to bowl genuine wkt taking deliveries , has pace, bounce, good fluid action and natural pace not express but can hit 140 easily, has some skills n can bowl according to plan , is young and should be nurtured n if fit should be drafted in a year or less, making sure he is not over bowled as at 20 Injuries happen easily. Personally would love to see Aniket as he is def test material, and a left handed to boot, think he is in Australia with MRF along with Veer Singh tweaker and Mosher 2
Mosher Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Those fast inswinging yorkers that he bowled were really good. He will be very handy in knocking down those pesky tailenders. Watch the video below of his 6-fer. http://www.bcci.tv/videos/id/2344/duleep-trophy-2016-17-india-red-vs-india-green-nathu-singhs-6-wicket-haul Brainfade, tweaker, Bleed-Blue and 1 other 4

Seamers losing pace was a phenomenon that happened in Indian cricket between 2002 and 2010. In the "10s , we have not seen this at all. There has been a change in attitude among fast bowlers and coaching staff. Bhuvi has gained 5 k to 7 k pace. Shami has increased his pace even after returning from a serious injury. He is sustaining his pace better than before too and that means increase in stamina. Ishant is bowling in the 140s regularly now, previously it was not that regular. Aaron, even after multiple stress fractures to his back, is still bowling at peak pace. Umesh is bowling at his normal pace too, after 6 years in international cricket. The ability to generate bounce and bowl bouncers have improved for all pacers. Even in domestic cricket, I am seeing more and more pacers trying to hit the deck harder. I think the importance of retaining pace and generating bounce has been recognized by the Indian cricketing fraternity. Edited August 25, 2016 by express bowling Mosher and MCcricket 2
express bowling Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 While the potential is very apparent for Nathu Singh, he should not be selected in the Indian team just now based on his Duleep performance, not even in T20Is. He is still a rookie and a work-in-progress and needs lots of match practice under his belt. He has a major problem with no-balls and often mis-steps while running in to bowl. The release of some of his deliveries are wrong.... not that often though but it happens. All these issues will get ironed out after one more season of Ranji Trophy. tweaker, Mosher and beetle 3
