Tannishtha Chatterjee slams Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza for making fun of her dark skin; storms out of the sets

Bollywood actress Tannishtha Chatterjee, who is currently winning praises for her performance in the recently released film, Parched revealed in a strongly-worded Facebook post that she stormed out of the sets of Comedy Nights Bachao, after she was subjected to jokes on dark skin.

The actress made an appearance on the show to promote her latest release Parched along with director of the film Leena Yadav and co-star Radhika Apte. In the post the actress mentioned that she was informed in advance about Comedy Nights Bachao's format and that it deals with roasting people and follows insult comedy format. However, she wasn't prepeared to get trolled for her skin colour.

The actress, was described as 'kaali kalooti' and asked if she was eating jamun since childhood as of result of which 'mooh kala hai', by the contestants of the show.

As a result, Tannishtha stormed out of the show mid-way.

She wrote on her Facebook page:


This is not the first time when Comedy Nights Bachao has courted controversy. Earlier also, the show has rubbed many people in a wrong way.

The concept of the roast is totally lost in India. Its meant to be high end subtle humor. Instead in India its basically bullyinh abuse and stoop the lowest common denominator.

 

Back the actress in this case. Since when is having dark skin something to be made fun of? 90% of Indians are dark skinned.

Our TV entertainment business is seriously lacking in humor. I feel that despite limited budgets and a small talent pool, TV series in the 90s displayed a lot more innovation than the absolute cr@ppola that is dished out these days.

ये ध्यान रहे कि ये सब फिल्म रिलीज़ के दौरान होता है ठीक वैसे ही जैसे अमिताभ बच्चन अचानक ही पिंक के रिलीज़ के समय नातिन पोती को चिट्ठी लिखते है.

वैसे अदाकारा एक अमेरिकी शो की बात करती है सैटरडे नाईट लाइव SNL और कहती है उसमें भी ऐसा नहीं होता 
सनद रहे SNL के सबसे प्रसिद्ध कॉमेडियन्स में adam sandler और cris rock भी आते है और उनका हास्य कैसा है ये सब जानते है.

अदाकारा के पोस्ट को लेकर की जाने वाली टिप्पणियां ये साबित करती है कि हास्य के मामले में हम आज भी बहुत संकीर्ण मानसिकता रखते है 
जहाँ अमेरिका में रसल पीटर हो क्रिस रॉक हो या कोई और स्टैंड अप कलाकार वो खुलकर हर तरह के जोक बनाते है लेकिन सभी उनको चुटकुलों की तरह ही लेते है
वो लोग इतने परिपक्व है कि क्रिस रॉक मिचेल ओबामा का भी मज़ाक बनाते है रंग को लेकर
साशा कोह्न baron फिलिस्तीन की समस्या से लेकर इजराइल अमेरिका क्वीन महिलाओं समलैंगिकों सबका मज़ाक उड़ाते है
लेकिन उसे मज़ाक की तरह ही लिया जाता है .
यकीन ना आये तो sandler, cris, russel peters या फिर साशा की बोरात, ब्रूनो या ब्रदर्स ग्रिमस्बी या डिक्टेटर देख लीजिए

Kapil sharma is no different..His comedy also comprises of insults and remarks on physical appearances..Sunil grover and Kiku Sharda are the ones who are keeping his show alive.
