coffee_rules Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) Congratulations Vinay Kumar!! Beating Madan Lal's 351 wkt record, now at 353! http://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Records/Series/Ranji_Trophy/Bowling_Records/Most_Career_Wickets.html http://www.deccanherald.com/content/585584/deshpande-powers-karnataka.html Quote The captain, with his five-wicket haul on Wednesday, had surpassed Madan Lal’s record of 351 wickets to become the leading fast bowler, with 353 wickets, in Ranji Trophy. It's truly legendary! Look at the list in cricketarchive. Spinners take a bucket load of wickets in Ranji. Not getting selected for national duty also helps here. Rajinder Goel - 637 wickets , but because of spin-quartet, he was not selected for test cricket. Oops please move it to Cricket talk. fineleg Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) What does this mean - sad state of affairs in domestics - domestic batsmen cannot even play against Vinnie Koomar Edited December 9, 2016 by fineleg tweaker 1
coffee_rules Posted December 9, 2016 Author Posted December 9, 2016 ^^Doesn't mean a thing. I am just happy he is at the top of the list, no mean feat. Cricketics 1

Cricketics Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Well done to him. We might not consider much of him, but no doubt he is a pretty solid cricketer for Ranji level. Any cricketer, who doesn't make it to Indian team, would love to have such stats as he got. He is pretty good at that level and performs better than most players, so surely deserves the credit. Congrats to Vinay Kumar.

Congrats to Vinay Kumar. Has bossed the domestic circuit around. One of those domestic players with exceptional records who get found out in Tests/ODIs. Joginder Sharma was another... for a long time, had a FC bowling avg of around 21. Cricketics 1
