nah. Jaffer was more laid back, upright, more like Rohit or Laxman, or Ashwin, not like Yadav. Yadav is more compact, reminds me more of Kohli with his batting stance and strokes.

Why should anyone walk  ?  It is not the batman's responsibility to give himself out.   There are umpires for that purpose.

 

Nobody will listen to him when he knows that he has not nicked it but is being given out.  Similarly, no one should listen to him when he himself says that he is out.   

 

Let the umpires and technology decide...then,  here will be a proper balance in decision making.

As I said, to each his own, I will debate on many topics here on ICF, but not on this particular one. There is simply not much here to discuss for me, I guess neither there is anything to discuss for you or for people who like to see people not walk. It is the way people want to play cricket. That is it. Everyone has their own opinion and thinking about it.

the moment drs is in the equation, you cant walk anymore

because it is all part of strategy

 

for example if kohli is playing with umesh yadav with the opp having only 1 review left and 20 overs left to reset the 3 reviews

if umesh does not nick a ball, but opp appeal... which is turned down... then the opp captain is left in a lurch

should he go for drs or not... is it worth it since they are claiming for umesh's wicket.

Think or thick. He should have walked. Consider a situation where we are playing in WC final and loose a match beacuse some batsman score a century instead of walking when nicked early.

There are cheats and there are not. If I dont walk, despite a DRS or not, I am  cheating. Its plain and simple.

Walk or stay put, there's nothing wrong with either. You choose to walk, you're being honest. You don't, you are following the laws of the game and abiding by the umpire's decision.

It is entirely up to the player. Admonishing the player for doing either is silly. That's thrusting your opinion on someone. There's no good advice or bad advice regarding this topic.
