Who should partner Umesh as pace bowler in Tests

Yes considering how umesh has bowled in recent series. His improvement has been great to see.

Shardul has been in and out of the squad without getting a chance to play. Considering his domestic performances over the last few years, he should be given a chance. He has the ability to swing the new ball in Indian conditions and has a decent pace and can bowl a good bouncer.

England - Umesh, Bhuvi, Shami, Jadeja, Ashwin

 

Subcontinent - Ashwin, Jadeja, Shami, Umesh, Jayant.

 

Pacific - Umesh, Shami, Aaron, Jadeja, Ashwin

 

Africa - Umesh, Shami, Ashwin, Jadeja, Bhuvi

 

Carribean - Ashwin, Jadeja, Shami, Umesh, Bhuvi

Did you see how accurately Cummins bowled ? I dont think Aaron can bowl even one over  with that consistency. Pace is good but need to consistently bowl perfect line and length to build pressure and slip in yorkers and bouncers as a surprise weapon on flat pitches to get results. I'm afraid Aaron is nowhere near that quality.

Aaron has improved his accuracy. He bowled much tighter in the last series that he played vs SA. Even Umesh was sailing in the same boat as Aaron earlier where he was struggling with accuracy. Look at him now. Aaron needs to be backed like Umesh. Aaron probably has the best bouncer among Indian bowlers and he can be an asset when we tour overseas.
