Does Mathew Wade have dirty pictures of the Aussie selectors?

Seriously, Haddin was such a downgrade from Gilly. And this guy is even worse than Haddin. Seems like oldies pushed too much of Keeping skills b.s that every keeper forgot how to bat. More like naa idhar ka na udhar ka. They forgot that modern cricket needs proper balanced keeper which is so crucial in the team combination.

Exceptional keeper who is poor batsman is probably not the requirement of ODI cricket anymore especially for fast bowling country like Aus. Batsman don't get much edges or there isn't much uneven bounce or movement to handle. Being good at stumping is probably still needed.

Safe keeper + decent batsman is what teams should aim for. Poor keeper irrespective of batting is still no.

Wade is not even an exceptional keeper. He used to be horrendous and got dropped due to that. They should try Sam Whiteman and he can open too.

they should make stewie do it. He has done everything else - started as leg spinner, then a batsman, a good fielder (but poor catcher) and now the captain. Might as well as do keeping.
