Gollum
Australia was the final frontier but today we made it +1 in our favor. Edited March 14, 2019 by Gollum Cricketics, Mosher, Turning_track and 5 others 2 6 Link to comment
Gollum
Although the decade isn't over I don't expect this stat to change. Other teams to achieve this feat: Australia in 2000s: closest rival was RSA but Oz had 16-12 advantage in H2H, 2nd closest was India with 12-29 H2H No team in 90s !!! But Aus-RSA were tied at 19-19. Both of them had >1 W/L against every other team. WI in 80s: Closest was England at 12-13, very surprising. Other teams were brutally smashed by WI. Ind 6-26, Oz 13-31, Pak 13-32, NZ 1-9, SL 1-9 ODI was very rare in 70s, so we can leave that aside. But Aus and Eng were the only teams to beat WI in that decade. Gollum
Aus won 2 WCs, 2 CTs in the 2000s WI massively underachieved in the big tourneys in 80s...courtesy that once in a lifetime upset in '83 and Walsh-Qadir incident in '87. Faaak 80s had Zico's Brazil fail in football and WI in cricket...2 of the mightiest and most loved teams in their sports unable to justify their greatness on the trophies cupboard. Stan AF
Australia managed to win all the ODI tournaments/series against India in India from 1998-2009. 1998,2001,2003,2007 and 2009. Gollum 1 Link to comment

Yup, also for about 15 years there wasn't a single bilateral ODI series between India & Aus. Both teams played a bilateral series in 1986, the next was in 2001 after such a long gap. Also we didn't win a single ODI match chasing against them for a 9-10 years period. Between the desert storm knock and 2007 Mumbai where Murali Karthik won us the match with one of the greatest ODI performances of all time. Stan AF 1 Link to comment

That Ind team used to routinely choke against Aus during those days. Even against Lanka circa 2000-2004. Edited March 2, 2019 by SK_IH Link to comment

Those 10-12 years we had negative H2H against Oz, RSA, Pak, NZ and were just about equal against Lanka and WI. Utter dross !!!! But thankfully in the format that counts we took the fight to ATG Australia in a way no other team could even imagine. Edited March 2, 2019 by Gollum Link to comment
Stan AF
We had no firepower basically to match theirs. Bowling is another sad story alltogether. Link to comment
