CG
Hes been the captain of the choker team for a while now . I can understand they lost a few finals , but a team with likes of Gayle , AB , Virat , Watson and domestic talents like Jadhav , Chahal and Mandeep in its linup cannot manage to win even half of its games ? They will never win Ipl without a good bowling attack.Recent trends have shown bowling attacks win Ipl . speedheat 1 Link to comment

Right or wrong , it has had a big impact on selections and can make or break a players career . No point of being in denial . express bowling 1 Link to comment

And he would have made it way before if he didn't piss off the bcci because of his icl stint. Krunal and Rana are very talented. They should make the team. And Hardik has shown enough that he is worth investing in since it's been so damn long since we have had a decent pace all rounder. Link to comment

Rohit was pretty much discarded after failing consistently inspite of his "talent" thats how much he sucked in those overseas test matches , then in SL and SA against steyn looked like a tailender, he had a few dream IPLs and kept coming back into the side . Rayudu , definetly should have played for India , but not at the point when he was picked . He was a talent , he screwd it up and normally it would have been over for him if not for the IPL . Again not saying Rana , Krunal and Hardik are not talented , their talent would not have been recognised if not for the IPL , definitely not all of them and even if they did not so early in their careers . So I dont see a point in shrugging off any IPL performance/non-performance as a non issue , Virats captaincy included . Link to comment

Not sure if you where around back then , most people even in ICF thot he would be an upgraded version of Dravid in ODI's . He was known for scoring quickly in domestic , thats before IPL days though . You can dig up the threads/posts here in ICF on pujara . Link to comment
Binga
We all saw the test series against the Aussies that were close to the worst side Australia has ever sent to India and virat averaged 9, acres like a spoilt brat on the field and in the change rooms and repeatedly made a fool of himself in the media. it was tipped off by him saying he didn't want to have a beer with the other team. i have my doubts if he is the right man to lead India in tests going forward and his batting is starting to become a concern. interested to see others thoughts Pixel and sarchasm 1 1 Link to comment
Pixel
Great Thread Binga He's a poor man's Misbah. Misbah hasn't had the stars/resources of Kohli yet the he has an outstanding home and away record. Virat the Brat rarely plays outside the country and has the luxury of doctored pitches and questionable umpire tactics. He dines out on mimnows but when faces a quality attack goes to jelly. His test stats flatter him. Go Pakistan! Binga 1 Link to comment

Ankit_sharma03
Who else would captain Rohit sharma- who tell an opp player to come to india, u think he ll help our reputation. Now he is injury prone Ashwin- whose place will come under scanner overseas Pujara- same as above Rahane- the guy won with a team set by kohli. A captain breeds a culture in the the team for the yrs to com Sourav- bought self beilief Dhoni bought calmness Kohli will brings fitness and desire to be best Call him a tactially poor captain(no captain becomes a tactical genius overnight) he is our best choice ahead Post maker seems to have mistaken kohli for a robot, he will fail to he is a human. Judging someone of a stature of kohli by 4-5 innings is as foolish as it gets Link to comment

He also has the best hair in the Indian team. Kohli should at the very least be told to pull his head in as his behaviour is childish and his DRS use very poor Rangana No.1 and sandeep 1 1 Link to comment
