CA have denied everything. It seems whatever the plot was failed.

 

I find it a bit odd CA are finding it hard to make ends meet. They will be getting around $130-$150 million per year USD to run their affairs. Which was 7 domestic teams etc this is more thab rugby union in the country

 

In contrast Nz with 50-60 million per year are running their affairs just fine.

G_B_ I think, for Bong to do U turn in ICC meet and Windies to Support, CA, CSA,ECB ust have promised something Specially CA and ECB. Now what no one is saying is that most bilaterals among most nations where there is a test match involved, incur loss.

So everyone is overspending BCCI money.

^ Whatever the end result, For once CA,CSA, ECB, BCP,PCB,WICB all came together. CA may have tried to show solidarity with CSA with above offer without a intention of actually implementing it.

Yaar, No one in England watches Ashes on tele. They just want to know final score. Most English fans go to Cricket ground to watch Ashes as a replacement to their pub visit. Its a nice day out, drinking in sun while being part of historically important rivalry.

As far as tickets are concerned, Indian game tickets are sold out way before semifinals. Only finals ticket compete with a Indian match.

As soon as India goes out of tourney, Finals Tickets come back on resale website

IPL players leaving in the middle causes trouble for the teams. BCCI or the franchise should offer a 10% bonus on top of deal amount in case the player is available for the entire period and plays half of the matches.

 

Economics of supply demand should solve it.

there is a reason why Australia is sh!t in T20 internationals...there are players aren't that good at it compared to players from WI, SA, NZ and Eng

 

it's only thanks to the litter of Aus backbench in IPL that mediocre Aus players get ong runs in IPL

Warner Smith and to some extent Maxwell will be missed. They have already said No to CA offer.

Thats only in rashids case as they are associates so they dont get much recognition but Aus ans Sa players are as much bigger stars as some indian players even without ipl,Ipl doesnt add nothing in their stardom its the other way around

IPL doesn't add anything? I wonder how you think?

 

1. IPL Players earn more money than their annual contract from their board.( Just play 6 weeks )

2. This is such a huge investment for their life after they have passed their prime cricket life or once retired.

3. They can still earn money from IPL after retiring. Pakistan players

4. You can still be batting coach/bowling coach/fielding coach/mentor or even commentator or post match analysis.

5. Check the supporting staffs and team staffs of each IPL Team.

CA is just paying money to try and keep their players to play there, there is no harm in this.

 

Obviously some players will choose to play there some will ask for a limited leave windo during IPL, this is all good.

Yes, Pakistani players are all stars.  And IPl didnt miss any of Indian International stars. A lot of icfers have started to think that local talent is outperforming International players. Juts visit ipl site and you will see the contenders in top categories. Now regarding stardom of Devilliers (he is only one who i hear Indian kids try to emulate in galli Mohalla Cricket), Devil is playing for money. So are any others

 

 

 

PS: Allmost Every Cricketer accepts that IPL is one of the biggest tournament to Indians and on International cricketing calendar. It has gone past to a level where we want to desperately see this star or that star else wont watch/support the team. People have started supporting their teams

I think this was used as pressure tactics ACA and CA are in tough negotiation. Offcourse Players outrightly rejected CA having any discussion on this topic. it had nothing to do with IPL

Standard of international cricket has fallen in the last few years. When IPL started, international cricketers used to be top draw and people used to tune in to watch them play. Now they are no longer that great or popular. Other than a few like Warner, ABDV, Gayle who are all from previous gen and few from current gen like Maxwell, Smith rest are likes of Handscombe, Chris Morris, Sam Billings, Moses Henriques etc. who not that impressive.
