How has India vs Ban Semi already confirmed

I was going through Cricinfo and saw that India vs Ban is confirmed for Thursday.

 

I understand that due to higher run rate this will be the scenario but was not sure that its already finalised because Cricinfo never updates untill it is confirmed.

 

Does anyone know why and how it has been confirmed?

Not confirmed but India's NRR is far ahead.

Sri lanka will have to beat Pak by a huge margin to top the table .

Pak will have to annihilate Sri Lanka to top the table .

Since both teams are pretty even performance wise...it is unlikey unless Pak field their mercurial side .

Pakistan needs to win by 270 runs to overtake India  Their whole batting can't make 270 runs even if they played out of their skins so lol at winning by 270 runs

To make sure India do not have it easy against Bangladesh and meet a tougher opponent in England , can Pak let SL score 295+ runs and declare at 1 for no loss

Or sri lanka score 380+ and then bowl out pak for 80 runs, that can actually happen

Because SL played more overs. It's an average over all matches.

SL batted 98.4 overs and bowled 100 overs. Pakistan batted and bowled only 68 overs.

 

Pakistan's NRR will improve at a much better rate than SL's due to the fact that they've played a lot less overs than SL.

Because Pak has conceded less runs overall than Sri Lanka I assume. Sri Lanka has scored more runs than Pak. Since Pak's base of runs conceded is small, to get over the NRR, they need lesser runs
