That will change the balance of the team.6 bowling option is a must so Siraj has good chance in the next match.

fore that we need a better spinning alrounder than Axar at 7.

Two young players that I remember vividly.. Yuvraj Singh playing that magical knock against Australia (?) in srilanka under19 w.c. his timing then and now is easily the best this game has seen. Another is Rohit playing in some A team/under 19 tri-series in Dubai. His batting almost had Ramiz raja orgasming.

But will they be as good as axar with the ball.?

Gowtham is a front-line bowler with low FC and List A averages. He is picking loads of wickets this year.

Krunal has a slightly better ER and slightly worse SR than Axar in the IPL.  If his inclusion allows us 6 bowlers and 3 specialist pacers, I feel it is a better choice.

What do you feel ?

Gowtham n krunal shud be actually in diff category then to axar

They both having the batting talent to play at 6 and 7 .....so they can be the hitter who can bowl more then 5 overs consistently . Which will be less pressure on their bowling and even reduce the burden on captain for pandya 10 overs

Playing them as bowler isnt of much use now.......

Axar is a bowler who has better batting abilities then tail ender but has no right to bat in top 7 as of now.

Its how we use them . U bat people like jadeja n axar at 8 they can look like assets bat them at7 they ll look like problem . Similary i feel with gowtham n krunal as of now its better to use them as 6th bowler rather top 5......and their batting allows them to

This discussion is more about a bowling-allrounder like Axar being used in a batting all-rounder's slot at 7 ..... and the need to use a batting-allrounder who is a good bowler too.

Poor bowling from Siraj...his slow offcutters are not working at all.

First slower ball went for 6 . Bowed another one 2 balls later also for 6 . Poor thinking

but hey a kid . Raw ingredients look good . Will see more if gets a few games

Yeah all the 6's he conceded were of his slower offcutters.

Since our death bowling is sorted out we should focus on someone who can deliver in the middle overs. Aniket Choudhary seems a good prospect for me. He gets good bounce and bowls a heavy ball. An option similar to John Hastings of Australia, could be quite effective.
