He is consistent performer for the A team as well, both on tour in England and at home, when he played against Australia A and South Africa A. He seems too Sehwag-esque to me, and we know that Sehwag was not very successful in SENA barring a few top innings. Link to comment

Done all he can to be picked apart from score runs in IPl and as we are talking about picking him for test team I dont need to explain IPL folly. Vijay done. This guy 27 knows his game inside out. Scored buckets in Ranji, Scored buckets in India A, scored and experienced India A away tours so ready to face these conditions, whole point of A away tours is exposed to different condtions so if called up not new thing. Aggarwal has doen exactly same as Vihari and ticked all boxes and passed all tests. Play Mayank next test, just scored a 50 in last FC innings, looked good, only out as trying to chase down ambitious total on last day. Has to play I think seeing relative success of Vihari the team managt will take the plunge? Link to comment
