Hopefully he finds back his form in 3rd test and the practise game in SA. It takes just one big innings to get back form.

Problem is he will play that big innings and still go missing in the remaining innings....story of his career so far but the good thing is that usually the one good innings has been a match winning/match saving one.

Rahane is a must for sa series as we know it gets in to form will score runs in these conditions and v this quality of team 

 

others even if in form may not have the technique/ quality / mental strength to deliver away in sa 

 

rahane must be backed 

 

ps likes these non turning wickets so I am positive on him . Maybe playing odi series is ploy to get him in to form for sa tests ?

He has technique that's it nothing else  he is OK for testmatches , but BIG NO in Odis a true definition of bottler.
