Delhi shouln't be hosting any match unless air pollution is controlled

Lights had to be turned on at 2pm because of the smog but no conditions were fine

Strong policies on environment are needed. The following attitude has to change:

 

* The manufacturing plant is polluting both air and water (Ganges) but it cannot be shut as ppl will lose jobs (Itneeds to be shut. Reopened only when it is clean. Ppl come and go. Environment remains)

* We can pollute to catch up economically with developed countries (when Economic development is not the only benchmark)

 

  who cares about a test vs SL (or what Lankans are doing). Stop the game so a message is sent about giving priority to the environment which ppl in Ind have created (and are to be blamed for) and happily live in as if that is how life has to be lived. Be brave and stand up for environment!

This. Going out and hurting yourself while playing there isn't bravery. Rather standing up for a better cause is what we need.

It is the reverse. Air pollution at unhealthy levels make prolonged ( over months) exposure unhealthy. It has to be above hazardous deadly levels like chemical explosion for it to have immediate impact. Although the recourse from this is good. SL are putting on a show.

Delhi in General has always been India's Problem Child when it comes to Cricket stadiums, first it was the the pitch in itself which was below par, and now this,  there's just something not right about kotla isnt it, even that north Zig-Zag looking stand is an eye sore on tv, lets be honest,we are not short of Cricket stadiums in this country, are we? enough of playing for the stands BCCI, let me tell you a small village in Tamil Nadu by the name Dindigul have better cricketing facilities, environment, pitch and weather for Cricket compared to Delhi which is a shame in itself considering that it is the Captial of the Country, someone needs to beat sense into BCCI and their authorities for such poor scheduling and allocation of stadiums.

well it had an immediate impact on me when i was there.

i'm not an Indian citizen and so don't quite consider this to be the slight on my nation the way some are carrying on here. personally i'd wished the Indian side did this first, or at least agreed with SL.

I think that should be the last cricket game in Delhi, the IPl may move to if the players don't want to play there.

This rotational allotment of test cricket is an awful policy. Manjrekar forced param pujnayee BCCI bhakt Sunny Gavaskar to admit it yesterday. North Indian stadiums should only be hosting T20 games (with 1 pm start time) during winter months.  Dew messes up day and night ODIs.
