Ridiculous ODI pitch

@rkt.india Do watch matches in last 25 years. This was a kinda' difficult pitch, but NOT a minefield. Batsmen in last 25 years (and even in recent decade) have had to play in such pitches every once in a while, and have fared better than these pack of falling cards 29-7 team. Atrocious lack of technique by these flat track bullies on display.

Australia were all out 47 on a similar pitch at Capetown. That was a minefield too at least in the first innings. Then such pitches gradually become better as the moisture dries out.  We saw two similar pitches in BD where we defended 104 runs and Binny ran through BD taking 6 wickets. SL would have had the same fate batting first. You must realize when the opposition captain admitted that this was unplayable in the morning and we though we will have to get around 100 odd on this pitch.

Ridiculous?? Lol, I say great job by pitch curator, a seaming pitch exposing these ugly hacks without kohli, especially that karthick :wall: a proven choker and a hack in international, these hacks have been feasted too much on pattas recently.

karthick looked as if he was a no 11 batting..shreyas was much better.

I actually thought iyer battled quite well and was probably best of top 5 in these tricky conditions . Battled hard

in the first innings for first 25 overs , it was a mine field like kolkatta pitch.

Far more entertaining match than 120/0 after 14 overs :)

Pitch had a bit of life in it, nothing exceptional. The bounce was predictable. Dhoni seemed fine no?

a bit of life is putting it too mindly. It was a green mamba the first 15 overs and then it eased out.

Indian team with Sachin and all heavy weights got bowled out for 54 on pitch batting second when opposition scored 280 plus.Stop hyping player of past. No player not matter who it is will have hard time playing seam and swing.

Today when Rohit scores 200 all of sudden it becomes flat pitch. This pitch was doing a bit also. last match few flukey dismissals happened combining with some shoddy techniques.

Yes, and The need to correct that shoddy technique, to improve on that, remains true.

and it is not just about greenery but moisture. many pitches can have grass but lack moisture and  are harder so they wont get as much seam movement. Mohali pitch too had grass but it didnt have as much moisture as Dharmshala.
