bowl_out Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Waiting for Majumdar's century... Kohli style velu 1
Sachinism Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 That's *ing absurd. Absolutely pointless exercise. You'd think a team would take some satisfaction is an outright win. There has been plenty of opportunity to go for that and not risk losing the game.

Even the opposition wth best hitters in world won't chase 700+ in a day, this has gone beyond risk calculation and defensive play. It's just hunt for personal records now.
chewy Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Pathetic, knockouts make no sense in Ranji, winning by first innings lead is such stupid rule, what if a team lead 1st innings by 1 ru? just play a league system, and whoever finishes top declared a winner

Why would they ask their bowlers, especially, fast bowlers to bowl again and leave them at the risk of injury when they are already in SF. Rather giving them rest to prepare for the next game. This is strategic and no defensive.

They wanted their bowlers to be fresh getting enough rest for the Semi Final. They would not their fast premier pacers like Dinda and Porel get and there is not much gap between the games to nurse niggles.
