Yes Rahane has the technique but does he have the temparament and attitude to grind the bowlers... I have seen him make nice 60s and 70s and get out. Heck of a lot better than the 6s and 7s he is making now :-). Link to comment

Lala
It's not IPL yaar . He suits middle order when the ball is older he can play shots and he is good against spinners too. Link to comment

wanted_desi
I believe he used to open for Mumabi when he began his career, his average was more than 60. Link to comment
SK_IH
He is as unreliabe as one can be and neither he is that compact as people assume he is,so he is a big no as far as opening and no. 3 goes Anyways he needs to score runs otherwise he will find it difficult to sustain place in the side Frustrated 1 Link to comment
Frustrated
Many ICFers are of the view that we would have won the test series in SA, if Hahane played the first 2 tests, instead of Rohit. Now they must have come to know the reality. (reality is that they both suck in SENA countries) Apart from the century at Lords in 2014, Hahane has nothing much to show, despite being given so many chances. One or two good knocks on some of the flattest Australian pitches in 2014 do not count much. Except Kohli, no top order batsman's place in the Test side (in SENA Countries) is really secured at the moment. Edited August 18, 2018 by Frustrated Link to comment
