13 point lead now a 6 point lead over no 2 SA. But even if SA beats Aus 4-0 and Eng wins all 4 matches against NZ and Pak our top spot won't be challenged. Worst case scenario is SA beating Aus 4-0 which would mean our lead would get cut to only 2 points (I guess). So we will head into the Eng tour as world no 1 (just like 2011) and unless we get a pounding we should also head to Aus as world no 1.

We are also set to surpass SA in the total world no 1 reign after 2 months, right now we have been no 1 for 60 months while SA is on 61 months, all stats post 1952 when rankings were 1st introduced. Must remember that SA didn't participate during apartheid, else their reign should have been much longer. Still a pretty cool achievement. Pakistan :phehe:.

I don't know from where you are getting the figures, India now lead SA by just 6 points. If SA wins 4-0 against AUS, we will lead by just 2 points

Thought we had a more focused approach in the third Test.

Rahane was back. Kohli was gone from slips. All slip fielders were in good positions to take the catch.

Batting first was a big gamble, but it paid off.

need to continue tailor-made approaches in England as well

Pakistan :hehe: only ever been number 1 for mere 4 months in their entire cricketing history

even many those months thanks to rain when India were playing West Indies and games got washed out

I got from the ICC rank predictor site but it seems they haven't updated. Made necessary corrections in OP based on the press release. Thanks for pointing it out.
