But with best stats, claiming that their is some mysterious context that drags players lowest tier is amusing. It's like a batsman averaging 50 in test cricket over 2 years may not be as good as someone else averaging 45 with context, but to claim that he is as bad as someone averaging 20 with some random context is stretching it too far. Imagine if Kohli was treated like this 3 years back. Let's say Kohli is just lucky that he didn't debut under someone like Kohli. Otherwise his career would have been over by 2014. A player can hav 30 average in odi or may be 110 sr in t 20 will take if it hrlps the team to win the match or have a great impact as per the situation. Bevan never had grt avg or strike rate like amla but i ll alwaya take a bevan over amla. Link to comment
