Dhoni

42  off  67  balls in the 3rd ODI

39  off  57  balls in the 2n ODI.

Strike rate of  62.7  in both the innings.

Even the 1990s lower-middle order batters were rarely this pathetic.

Ofcourse, our astute Team management have found a viable solution to this problem and most other problems ...    Drop KL Rahul.

SR 63.62 today. I am struggling to recollect names who batted at that SR even in 80's. And so many say it is a batsman friendly game with awesome bats, field restrictions suiting batsmen, ground size suiting batsmen, wickets suiting batsmen. Certainly Dhoni is not batting in this so called batsman friendly era. Gives a feeling he is batting in the era of uncovered wickets in 18th century.

I think you were too young to remember our current coach bat. He specialized in stepping out to defend the ball.

Forget about a 100, Its a big task for him even to score at a strike rate of 100. Can't even score at a rate of run a ball.

Couldn't even score at the rate of 2 runs in 3 balls in the last 2 games ...  forget about a run a ball.

Exactly. Thats very poor from someone coming at no 6. He should be nowhere this Indian team. He is not good enough to bat in top 4 and certainly doesn't have the ability to bat in the lower middle order now.

Shastri used to bat at SR of 60 when 250 was norm in 80s and 90s. Dhoni is doing it now. If he was batting in 90s, he would have been batting at SR of 40.

Somewhat like 80 ball 30 runs.
