hello kohli saab, can i get autograph please

it seems so fascinating to play two spinners that will win us the match, but i remember last time, we played 2 spinners in England in Manchester.  jaddu and Ashwin combined bowler 27 overs for 1 wickets. 3 pacers bowled 24, 26, 28 overs respectively.

You can name 1 test... I can name so many tests where 2 spinners will do well.

Plus we should play with 3 proper pacers so Manchester like pitches are taken care of. We did get England all out in the only innings we bowled in Manchester.

The very next game in oval, jaddu was dropped and Ashwin picked 3/75

As i always say, it is not a guarantee that your 5th bowler who is your 2nd spinner too will bowl a lot of overs.  Case in example, Manchester where Ashwin and Jaddu combined bowled 27 overs, 14, 13 overs each. 5th bowler is almost always under-bowled and if he is bowling more means, you are in trouble and the opposition is heading towards a big total so you have to bowl your 5th bowler more overs than usual as they have to bowl a lot of overs.  Your 5th bowler does not come in to play if top 4 bowlers do their job.  Test cricket is a 4 specialist bowlers game.

5th bowler who is a spinner does not hav to bowl a lot of overs.

Spinners are there to give you control in first innings and help you more in 2nd innings.

Plus they act as an insurance if a spinner has an off day on a pitch that aids turn on 4rd or 5th day.

If we had legendary pacers, we wont need 2 spinners. We don't hav them so we need our spinners.

In most pitches. Not all.

Jadeja offers control, lower order batting assurance, and excellent fielding abilities.

Kuldeep has that x-factor. Someone who can run thru entire English line up in a session.

If India has to pick 2 spinners, my vote for 2nd goes to Kuldeep.

If pitch is not aiding spinners then they don't even give control.

Ok, I'm going with Jadeja.

His previous stint at Lords is too hard to ignore, 50 overs for 100 runs and 3 wickets. Plus a 50 with the bat. Already the attacking option playing 2 spinners, so within that going for the defensive choice.

Just like Ashwin never gave India control in Aus where our pacers were going at 4 rpo at the other end?

Or Jaddu not giving control in Southampton as England piled on the runs?

Name one single game in the last 5 years where our spinners were so useless that they had to be hidden by pacers?

Kuldeep is better but jadeja deserves to play ahead of kuldeep, jadeja is the no. 3 ranked bowler in the world and has performed greatly in the past few years. Neither of them will play though as for them to play, pandya has to be dropped, and that is not happening
