Rashid set a unique once in a while record of not batting, bowling or catching/running out. Easily replaceable when u got Ben Stokes making a comeback.

Rubbish decision. Curran done nowt wrong. Stokes should have been told to wait his turn. They'll ban him for the matches they need him in during the winter anyway.

If it's not a two spinner pitch, you might as well play five fast bowlers. Moreover, Curran is a left armer and hence adds variety. Plus he can bat.

5 fast bowler is a way too much even for a seamer frndly condition.. And no one can be 100 percent certain how the pitch will behave !!!

 

So going with spinner in a bank is always a good idea..Last match Rashid didn't bowled it was one rare ocassion and there is no value of rare ocassions. ..

 

Stokes also had a good first match while curan was not so good in the second.

 

You cannot drop broad and anderson neither can u ask stokes to rest.. Stokes is a very competitive cricketer and can wake the team up even when team is back against the wall.

 

With so many bolwing option and all can bat, not point risking going into a match without any spinner at all.

England continues to strengthen its batting, even playing at home and our mgmt thinks its aggressive to go with 5 batsmen who look like tail enders on these pitches.
