This idiotic thread illogically assumes everything else would remain constant and by changing a couple of factors, assuming those changes would have definitely worked, Ind could have done this or that .... and then ignores Pandya’s role in changing the game and setting Ind up for a win

What a tool! Does not even understand cric and acts as if this is some kind of a stock market where shares go up and down daily :hysterical:

Instead of appreciating a good performance and being happy for a youngster, this tool spent its time on deriding even Pandya’s decent performances, coming up with unnecessary criterias / benchmarks, and now is probably thinking about what it will do if and when Pandya fails

I need to understand basics from nobodies like you, who are you Gavaskar, Bedi their PA?

This thread was made before his fifer, now you'll justify his place in the side for next 10 tests with this one.

Brain dead morons like you will remain just that, fanbois or fangirls.

The fact that you can't differentiate the interests of the team, over individuals tells us more about you and your limited scope of cognition than anything the OP states.

Yeah shows how much he has to prove, one great spell in 11 innings, 2 or 3 good ones in total on the most seamer friendly tracks we've played in the last 16 years.

Zip it, you'd crawl right back if or when he fails in the next few games.

there were 3 other pacers on the same track. guy is playing his 9th test and now averages 27 with an SR of 50.

When was the last time and Indian pacers had analysis of 5/28 in a test match? and people are not happy.

the OP probably does not even know that Pandya did not bowl in the 2nd inning at Edgbaston, where he could have changed the course with the ball esp considering he was Ind's 2nd best bowler in the 2nd test, and now the best bowler in this test

Guy is playing 9 tests on the trot, he has to show performance for it. So far it's been 2 really good performances over a span of 21 innings.

When was the last time you saw so many people come out of the closet and defend such mediocre stats for one player? Will you bring this 5/28 in the next 10 tests, or will Pandya constantly improve from hereon?

If you do, then you know where you stand. His role is to perform whatever job he's given, you or any of his fans labeling him A/R doesn't matter.

These armchair tools behave in a certain way - a) when India is 100/4, they think an extra batsman would have made all the difference to take Ind to some magical total, and b) when opposition is 100/0, they think an extra bowler would have made the score 100/3 .... living in that imaginary favorable scenario that goes with their delusions

India is NOT as strong a team as we would like to believe. It needs 7 specialist batsmen and 5 specialist bowlers to win on consistent basis. Unfortunately, we can only play 11, where one slots goes to specialist WK option. Therefore, we have to optimize 5 batting positions and 4 specialist bowling positions. Fortunately, considering Ind's S&W, someone like Hardik provides support at both ends. If we did not have someone like Hardik, ideally, we could discuss adding a batsman or a bowler. An extra bowler can ideally be played, if the 5 specialist batsmen are firing and the WK is an allrounder in form too. If the extra batsman is that good, he should be picked among the 5 specialist batsmen. Adding another struggling batsman does not add much

Fortunately, since we have Hardik, we have to give him enough opportunities to be successful. And he is constantly improving so I do not any reasons for such threads disguised to attack young promising players

The OP waited for Pandya to finish his inning to start this thread. Even though, Pandya did his best with the bat and looked good, he could not resist the temptation. Pandya just owned his ass :whack:

100 in SL, 70 plus against Afghan after a collapse, 93 in SA, 3/66 in Lords, 5/28 at Trentbridge and 52.

Both minnows vs India.

I counted that but it's the only innings that you could think of, so he's not much of a bluechip stock, is he atm?

Cheap wickets, we've gone over this.

Second whirlwind performance this year.
