Gollum
A bed-ridden rickshaw puller's daughter and conqueror of the toughest athletics event with a painful facial injury, Swapna Barman take a bow . She has 6 toes on both feet yet doesn't have customized shoes because of lack of sponsors and contacts. All our athletes are so inspiring, privileged to follow these superstars in action. Gollum
In all my years of following Indian hockey this was the worst ever performance. Tactics in Q4 were baffling and zero energy throughout the game. Sardara Singh is the MSD of Indian hockey, don't know how many more matches his selfishness will cost us. Ruined my day. PBN
Jinson Johnson wins gold in 1500m great acceleration at the end. As mentioned earlier, Manjit left it too late and very difficult to cover up that much of a gap, finishes in 4th

Gollum
What is the use of pumping 76 goals in group stage if you struggle so bad in knockouts? India is world no 5, Malaysia no 12 but looked like converse out there. These tailor made penalty shoot outs we never seem to win but credit to the Malaysian GK Kumar Subramaniam, he was splendid. Gollum
Was so looking forward to the World Cup at home this year, now don't care about buddies XI. And we shouldn't have let go off Roelant Oltmans, he was fired just because he was losing patience with the seniors and the buddy system in Indian hockey. sandeep
