And man we are just moving away from this **** racial stereotypes of being weak race for sports and you are still pushing that ideology. Our fastest bowler doesn't fit in your category (Varun Aaron) Neither does Nagarkoti or Mavi and even Umesh. I meant their diet habits.. being physically strong.. especially to be a fast bowler... Having fast twitch muscles is a default thing but to sustain it you need to have lot of basic strength to avoid injuries.. urnotserious and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1 Link to comment

Meaning - cardio vascular endurance, muscle type( that you mentioned), vo2 max, anaerobic threshold etc This is why with right training and right scouting you are beginning to see Indian fast bowlers bowl whole test series faster than English ones. but there is no proof that any particular nationality or sect has less instances of genetic predisposition that others. For the longest time, training in India was endurance based which means running long distances and that results in slow twitch fibers which resulted in a bunch of medium pacers like Prasad, madan lala, amarnath, prabhakar etc Now with more weight training and HIIT means fast twitch fibers are being developed which is what you see in guys like Andre Russell and which is what quick bowlers need Besides being desert and semi arid dwellers. Indians ought to have its share of insidents of freaks of nature like Akthar.. English are going for height advantage..india has edge there as well, tropics have natural allowance for more height while colder climes have inhibitors as longer torso expends heat more easily, provided few generations are eating balanced diet indians should be able to find taller specimens as well. Apart from Kenyan marathon runners, who for the whole of their life practise running at such a high altitude where oxygen is less, that when they come to other countries, they perform way better than others. But agreed that you cant really pinpoint a race or region. UrmiSinhaRay and GolGappe 1 1 Link to comment

One thing is for sure...he is here to stay... Will become the first player to represent india in test team from this region...... His action is injury free and generating good amount of pace... He should be playing for Jammu by now... Hisham and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1 Link to comment
