Now the findings have come down they should be reviewing the sanctions on the three players.” “The findings of the ... report affirm this. This is extremely significant, as there is now independent verification that the system and culture were contributing factors,” ACA chief Greg Dyer said in a statement. “Basic fairness demands these independently verified contributing factors must now be taken into consideration and the penalties reduced.” Test paceman Josh Hazlewood said on Monday the players would like to see former captain Smith, vice captain Warner and batsman Bancroft back on the field. “We’d love to see the guys back playing as soon as possible. That’s not really our decision,” he told a news conference. “The bans have been handed down and the boys have copped them, as you’d expect. That’s really out of our hands, as players.” Cricket Australia chairman David Peever made it clear in his comments on the review on Monday that the board handed out the sanctions after “full and thoughtful process” and that they would remain in place. nevada Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Yes, review should be done. And the bans should be extended because the two cheats haven't come clean and there are obviously more players involved in the dirty deed. The bowlers also should have been banned at the very least for using an obviously tampered ball and remaining silent about it.
putrevus Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 If they lift the ban now, then it will be all hogwash, all they missed in couple of tests and few t20s. AuxiliA 1
Laaloo Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Yeah they need to uplift the ban. This Aussie team is rubbish and it dilutes the game of cricket. Its not like they were match fixing like the padosis. speedheat and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1

Uproar will continue to grow if results are bad. There was no need to give them one year ban in first place but if they lift their ban then what is difference between PCB and them. PCB are crooks in this regard they overlook everything for players who perform and act as saints againt non performing players. UrmiSinhaRay 1
speedheat Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Yeah they should, its grotesque to see these bigbash league hacks like Chris Lynn, Darcy short representing Aussie. UrmiSinhaRay 1
kosingh Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 I would love to see Warner and Smith against India. Will not happen though. They're not so blatantly going to revert to the win at all costs mentality that they blamed for the fiasco in the 1st place. They have to at least create the appearance of now doing the right thing. At least for a few more months. UrmiSinhaRay 1
