I think this is good. natural progression of development of game. Women's cricket in India is decades old and this is like Sunil vs Kapil moment. Atleast now people care enough to debate about women's cricket. We should have a lot of more coverage. 

 

There should talk of why there is no push for a T20 tournament for women. The final was played between two sides that have a strong league and domestic structure in place. Maybe there is not big enough of a pool for an IPL level tournament but a BCCI corporate tournament could be held and I am sure corporate will see the opportunity

I don't think Mithali has a beef with Kaur.  Reading on cricinfo her story is very much believable. Nobody will go out of the way and make up a story about this useless guy Powar. She even escalated prior to her getting dropped for the final. Walking away from her at every instance is downright insulting. Whatever the underlying reason may be, your selection should be based on team's best interests not based on your whims. Obviously this f*king ahole powar  who achieved nothing big acted like dic*head. She has always been forthright. Hope the players don't develop disunity and stunt the progress of women's cricket. India has identified 2 or 3 gun players. That is it. Rest of them are still crap.

I am glad that our women’s cricket is getting publicity in India after the defeat. It does help our cricketers as they are being watched and will continue to be watched. All win-win. It will make them mentally strong.

Dude, your perspective on things/players is sometimes very weird and illogical.

 

In this instance, I totally disagree with you. It's not a win-win situation at all. Indian women's cricket is coming up fairly well in terms of fan following and finances in the recent times. One of the reasons is their good performances in some tournaments/series. One of the other reasons is the likability of the team. This controversy will no doubt dent the goodwill and likability factors of the team irrespective of who's right and who's wrong.

Depends from player to player. Yu have a fan perspective which is absolutely fine I have a player’s perspective. It might dent confidence of new players, especialy Mithali’s since she is herself part of the controversy, but these kindnof situations tend to make players stronger. I play cricket myself and these team politics exist everywhere and it generally makes player stronger in as their ego is hurt and they now want to badly perform for the team and show results. 

 

Wounded warriros are always more dangerous because now they have purpose to prove. I think that is what will happen to this team. They will reunite and comeback strong.

ICF has some of most Indian cricket crazy fans who will do analsys like crazies , yet very few of them follow women cricket . With this what hope is that an average indian fan will follow women's cricket
