Spinners got us back into the game, picking up 5/27 in 10 middle overs but then what do they know.

pacers also picked 4 of them.  Spinners 5/65, pacers 4/58.  Its a common wisdom to bowl pace when opposition needing few runs and #11 is batting on an uneven pitch.

Spinners were picking those wickets when Eng A were running away with the match at 87-4. Spinners can take wickets number 5 to 9  for 27 runs but then suddenly spinners become useless because number 11 came to bat!

Lions were running away with the game that because spinners could not pick up up wickets after early burst by pacers and pacers didn't get to bowl after early bursts.  There is no thumb rule but what the captain do was change the pace of the ball from one end.

Day 1 - Side 1 bats 60 overs, other one for 30 overs

Day 2 - Reverse of day 1

Nothing wrong for a 2 day unofficial practice match, Each team gets 90 overs to bat and bowl. Other option was 1 day of batting to each side.

Well it is kinda nonsense as you have shorter innings and play extra aggressively, especially if you're preparing for longer format matches.

ditto. also for those overs, India their best bowlers and for them anyone who could roll his arm over bowled.

Did India A tour SA, England and Australia before India toured those places. These A tours should be organized concurrently to the tours of Indian team to those countries. We will then have ability to send players from one team to other depending on form and performances.

How man test players have these tours prodouced and what is point in the playing tests in India right now.

India A did tour England and then England came to India.  Aus and SA also came to India last year in September as it was their turn to come after India A toured them previously.  A tours are also going in rotation.

Those types of tours are not helping anyone.Having both tour concurrently helps both visiting and home teams.Since there are no practice games on tours.Players have no way of regaining form during the tours and team results are suffering. If both tours were cuncurrently happening then it benefits touring teams.

Don't England Lions tour concurrently to their team when Ashes are played?
