Here are some of my fears

 

1. Rahane might be selected again- Watching this collapse n seeing rahane score selfish runs for India-A as our selectors dont see impact at all but will go for experience 

2. Thakur can also return - Khaleel n Siraj's struggle will make way for Thakur , No signs of rajpoot the best candidate acc to me . Thakur also took wkts in recent A-game so his chances wud have gotten better 

3. Rayudu will score runs - playing pace on those wkts suits rayudu, unless its rabadda against him. M not sure if Starc or cummins will come to India . He ll make runs and everything will be forgotten . 

4. Umesh Yadav can return as well- what more can i say about the leak machine

 

 

I doubt Rahane will be selected.. If anything, they'll keep playing Rayudu and DK.. They are just as bad though.

 

Thakur may not do worse than Khaleel, who just got selected coz he was a leftie.. I don't mind if he gets a few games, maybe even does well..

Three quicks for the WC should be good enough, the fourth if selected will only be a backup in case of injuries.. we might end up playing only 2 in the XI.. so not a big concern if Thakur gets a go.. Same thing with Umesh as well.. with only one of Shami/Bhuvi likely to play, Umesh/Thakur as the fourth seamer might just warm the bench in the WC squad.

Whatever  we may be thinking , team selection is almost done & dusted . I think only 2 places are to be decided .

1. Back up opener. 

2. One middle order spot .

assuming we go with 3 seamers +Pandya .

Umesh provides a much needed depth.

replacements are of ppl who deserve places.....if ur s/r is arounf 75 u dnt deserve a place in modern day cricket

Rayudu struggles against quality pace n is a minus in field

 

Both dnt offer anything. They shudnt be even in contention

Play guys like gill, pant, rahul ahead of them they are special player ....may not work all day but the day they do they ll win u games. rayudu, rahane are below avg LOI player will never win u games even on their good days

umesh only provides release of pressure

Those two are better bats than Pandya and other is better bowler. So someone who wants Pandya to play every game including gilli danda has a dislike for other accomplished player. Interesting.

those 2 dnt bat in pandya position so no competition , pandya s/r is highest among indian players and theirs is lowest whereas theirs is unacceptable

 

Pandya plays spin better then rahane

Pandya plays fast bowling better then rayudu 

Pandya bowls and neither of rahane n rayudu does 

Pandya has a better eco then umesh , whereas umesh econmy is unacceptable 

 

Just becoz they are specialist doesnt make them better, show me the value n perfomance

prithvi shaw should be tried in the Aus series. He is back to fitness and can be slotted into the last few games.

Aus- Maxwell, stonis 

SA- Pheklu 

ENg- stokes, moeen ali, soon they ll have archer

I used the word most with Pakistan. There tail starts at 3/4 down.

Stokes and Moeen do not fit the bill. Moeen is a decen bowler and so is Stokes. There batting is not everytime affair.
