SKY is an over-rated hack. No need of him.  Let us stick with DC top order without Dhawan

Has a pretty good T20 record, though this IPL has been disappointing for him. Was v good last year and had good SMA stats too. Him and Rana are definitely worth considering for T20Is

An ODI team that probably looks like this. Except Gopal and Saini, most of the others have an ODI cap, but haven't played too many games (except pandya and kuldeep of course).

rahul
pant
iyer
gill
pandey
shankar
pandya
gopal
kuldeep
chahar
saini

Good team just not sure about the batting order...Pandey and Shankar should move up one slot, Gill and KL should open with Pant and Pandya at 6 and 7

Lol at people making lists w/o Rohit/Dhawan and Kohli. They're going nowhere

This is more in view with resting them straight after the WC and experimenting. But also Dhawan and Rohit need to be phased out, the next ODI WC is years away and Dhawan especially isnt the force he was. Plus the tactic of slowish starts keeping wickets in hand is holding us back certainly compared to England who are revolutionizing the ODI game

It is an A team that they'll be sending to WI.. Not the final ODI team that'll play all the games after the WC

u forgot to select the captain

1st thing that needs to be done Asap post Wc is

  • Select a competent selection committee who understands modern game n has an eye for talent
  • Select a coach with vision n work ethics
  • Select a new LOI captain n let him build his team and it shud be rohit sharma. He is a damn good captain so lets not waste that

Without a proper road map this team making exercise is useless

Doesn't matter who the captain is.. This is just a temporary A side that needs exposure at the highest level.. Make Iyer or Pandya captain

Tests ----

1. Shaw

2. Agarwal

3. Pujara

4. Kohli

5. Vihari

6. Pant

7. Ashwin

8. Kuldeep

9. Saini

10. Shami

11. Bumrah

12. Gill

13. Pandya

14. Saha

15. Jadeja

16. Ishant

They should rotate Gill, Shaw and Agarwal at the top of the order. Shaw needs to understand that he cannot waltz into the team; his shot selection in the past few matches has been arguably even more atrocious than Pant. Team looks good otherwise. If they rest Kohli, it would be nice to see Gill play at 4.

Ashwin is going to have a whale of time probably.

Iyer doesnt even own a place in XI infact not even in 20 probables .....his captaincy for DD has been horrible to say the least

Lets not make captains out of player who dnt even own a place coz they ll put themselves ahead of the team

Rohit shud definately go as captain
