Every player from 1-14 in the WC squad has had moments to show some glimpses of what got them into the side. Even Kuldeep. Shankar gives no confidence in the top order or in the slogger role neither does his bowling give confidence. Has hardly bowled. Fielding he is no Jadeja or Manish Pandey, just adequate. How is he ahead of a genuine bat or a bowler? Shankar gives more confidence than Rayudu against good pacers. While Shankar is a rookie and Rayudu has played a lot of games.

He is far too lucky to be even in the reckoning without even playing domestic cricket while guys like Agarwal has been slogging in domestic. Stan AF 1
nevada Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 No Rayudu please. Let him stick to watching movies with 3D glasses while eating Biryani.
Ankit_sharma03 Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 shankar will save more runs in the field then rayudu wud be able to score and then rayudu wud also loose runs by misfielding n dropping catches
asterix Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 (edited) I’ve faith in Vijay Shankar. He’s good height which is always an advantage for an all rounder. He’s a clean hitter. Good fielder with safe pair of hands. A Mickey Mouse tournament like IPL shouldn’t be used to discredit an upcoming player. Edited May 3, 2019 by asterix Stan AF, vvvslaxman and Ankit_sharma03 1 2
Stan AF Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 (edited) Shankar not that bad. Rayudu worse. Edited May 3, 2019 by Stan AF
