They were not really bad balls. It was just a brilliant batting.

The ones hit for six were not bad ones but the ones on the off were IMO. one was a wide and the next a half tracker. And Ashwin even tried his statue pause in the runup in that over. though everyone gets thrashed in t20 once in a while

Here are the scenarios

Realistically speaking,  impossible for kxip to qualify now as srh nrr is too high.

RR should win tomorrow's game and hope that both  SRH and KKR lose their games.

KKR should beat MI and hope that srh loses.

And srh should..... just Win. :nervous:

So law of probability is tilted towards Murgis to make the cut.

One of the main reasons why CSK and MI are very successful is because they have continuity in their team. They play with their settled core players in majority of their matches.

Captains like Kohli and Ashwin are massive failures in this regard.

@velu

even punjab fans lost track of how many times ashwin chopped and changed the team ..

KKR has been a great batting unit but had a terrible bowling unit this season. In the 6 matches losing streak, they lost 5 by batting first and 1 they lost while chasing was a close match with them almost pulling off 213. Part unlucky and part terrible Team management.

In hindsight KKD's selection is not that bad. This guy shows the ability to hit the ball as soon as he walks in. Striking form at the right time.

and i think thats his role..strike from ball one. Rohit knows this aspects usage very well and has spoken about this in past and i am sure he had told Kohli and Dhoni.

Their batting is far too good enough to outweight their bowling

Just compare this

Narine  vs  Tahir

Bhajji  vs Chawla

Jaddu vs Kuldeep

Russell vs Bravo

Chahar vs Prasidh/Warrier

Thakur vs Gurney/Ferguson

Looking at this there is not much difference. Given the fire power they have right through their line up man to man KKR is significantly stronger than the Retired XI lol

poor bowling and poor lineup with Russell coming down the order just because he can go bang bang.

CSK has no chance in a realistic match against MI or KKR or even SRH with Warner/Bairstow some Dhoni / Flemming wizardry is on going, we are not understanding it.
