Tha tis actually common for all teams in the world. If your top order fires, you are good to go. Be it Munro or Guptill firing with Williamson, or Roy, Root firing on top for England, or Finch, Warner etc.

 

Top order is the key everywhere. 

 

When we had Yuvraj, peak Dhoni were around we could think of 300 plus even without much of contribution from them. Natwest is an example.  Current middle order is not capable of building an innings and getting India upto 300 even after top order failure. With longish tail we are like 2 wickets away from imploding. THeir clearly strategy is whoever clicks on the day has to take the responsibility and score big. Our bowlers have to complement them though.  Waiting for Gill to be drafted into the side. If KL Rahul can keep his place that is 5 solid batsmen. Pant (post DHoni), Pandya.

I think theyll add jadhav instead of shankar/jadeja coz jadhav is good at anchor or slog role while shanker is so far seen good for slog and jaddu is unpredictable so far,

 

And i know after lastatch most would choose bhuvi but shami was in unreal form before this and apart from one over last game bhuvi was hardly looking threating in whole game ,not to mention shami has always taken wickers upfront,thats what we need vs nz,im sure bhuvi is good but its criminal to not play inform pace bowler in 3matches

Many things went in our favour in ind v aus match or our bowlinf was outright mediocre in that particular match ,even windies had aussies on thier last legs

 

How about drop kuldeep and play shami instead ? That will spice things up

Rightly so, any team batting line up will start to look big once ur top 3 bats for half number of overs even if RR is decent. In the day n age of 20-20 scoring 100+ in last 10 overs isnt much of a concern. Teams are also using 20-40 over for scoring at quicker rate as there are only 4 fielders outside circle

Depends upon a variety of factors such as

 

* conditions

* batting 1st or 2nd

* morning start or afternoon start 

* opposition bowlers and how they are bowling

* stage of the tournament as if pitches get difficult to bat on as tourney progresses, using the relatively harder ball to good effect can get importance 

 

 

For e.g. in WI vs BD game, WI batted first in the morning so had to account for that, along with understanding the par score. BD batted 2nd with cards in table and in relatively easier conditions so scored 70

The approach is fine in overcast conditions with some help for bowlers in the pitch.

If it's a flat road with sun shining,play 4 overs safely.Then look for 1/2 boundaries every over.That will get above 60 without risk.
