Should both Kuldeep and Chahal play on fresh pitches in KOs?

Wow, never realized he was this bad. Average 60 odd for someone with zero contribution with bat and on field, what a massive disappointment he has been !!!! Contrast his 1st WC showing with what Ashwin did in 2011/15 or what Chahal is doing here. I had such high hopes on him, sad. Pray that he redeems his pathetic showing if he takes further part in this tourney. 

@SK_IH Kuldeep has been such a letdown unfortunately.

Rahul Chahar is the real deal because he can turn his leg break unlike gopal though Gopal isn't a bad choice as Chahar is a rookie at this point.

@SK_IH Kuldeep has been such a letdown unfortunately. 

I have been highly disappointed no doubt about it. He has been wickets starved for far too long, even counting the IPL. I ll not say its the novelty factor because I always considered Kuly to be a guy who relied more on his guile than mystery.  I will back him the in the knock out because he still is someone who can get a wicket against the run of play. That wicket of Azam was classic.

His biggest problem is his slowness.

See, to put few things simple:

 

Fact is:With Dhawan out I do not see our batting lineup chasing 320+.

So we should and must restrict opposition by 300.

 

How can we do it?

Strengthening Various bowling options. Nether Pant nor DK nor anyone adds any value if he is not allrounder. All they do is just Add 1+ additional sixes per match. Ie max 10 rus per inning to our total

I liked what I saw in Bhuvi against Pak, a better new ball bowler than Bumrah, better at death than Shami besides strengthening our pathetic tail as well...better fielder than either of the 2 wristies to boot. Most likely our semi will be against England on the same ground as yesterday, who knows maybe the same pitch with same ground dimensions !!! Scars will be deep for our spinners, play just one of them preferably Kuldeep who has a higher ceiling. Other changes have to be made in light of yesterday's spineless show but let us stick to KulCha here.

 

We might have to go through Eng/Aus to lift the cup and neither of those teams seem to have great troubles against our wristies, Poms have owned these two for 3 consecutive ODIs and Aussies tamed them in India, a couple of instances on more difficult decks than the ones we will see in the KOs.   

I was waiting for this thread to be open. On fresh pitch, India should go with three seamers (BBS) + jaddu/Chahal. However, death bowling to be done by Bhuvi and bumrah only. No shami in death overs.

It's not just the flat pitch. Small boundaries at Edgbaston are a bigger concern. 

 

We, most likely will be playing Eng again at this ground in the SF. KulCha haven't been that effective in this WC to be a sure starter. I would drop Chahal for Bhuvi in the SF if the pitch is flat. This will also strengthen our tail, which would be essential for winning a batting shootout with England.

of the two, kuldeep has actually done worse than chahal in the WC apart from that dismissal of babar. I agree bhuvi should come in, esp on fresh pitches. he can also bat higher than dhongi for starters.
